What about crack smokers?

So when will Nikki Fried be prosecuted?

And, since they cite the historical precedents, when will the confiscation raids to disarm Indians and Catholics begin? They do realize both groups mostly vote Democrat?

On Second Thought

They are looking for an excuse to indict him…..and keep him under indictment. While indicted he won’t be able to run for office. If they can get him behind bars that’s just a bonus. It’s a virtual certainty they will have “found” i.e planted evidence during this bullshit raid. The American Gestapo nee FBI will do whatever their masters in the American Communist Party tell them to do. [More]

Yeah, that was my fourth thought after I called it a day. Stealing 2020 wasn’t enough– after seeing his CPAC straw poll results and knowing people will be paying attention next time, stealing 2024 calls for pulling out all the stops. If this fails, some may be deranged enough to want that assassination Bernard Kerik is publicly speculating on, and all I can say to that is if they thought Archduke Ferdinand was a catalyst for something bigger…

What I can’t tell at this point is if this is a long-planned step or if it’s a last-ditch desperation “Hail Mary” by the Dems who know their numbers are up for November.  Trust in government is at a low and a significant portion of the country believes the last election was stolen– not just a handful of lunatics in buffalo hats egged on by assorted provocateurs.  That also explains why the Dems are so adamant about this J6 business– if legitimacy in their rule is exposed for all to see as fraudulent, they’ve seen what happens when truckers in Canada and farmers in the Netherlands are roused. They know that F-15s and nukes aside, they’re hopelessly outnumbered on the ground– which is why they want our guns.

I find it significant that, at this writing, there is nothing in the Google News feed about Mitch McConnell weighing in on this. I sense a combination of feckless Republicans not knowing how real hardball is played and some of the old guard rooting for the Swamp because they believe they’ll have a place in it.

UPDATES

We’ll probably want to check in on Donald Trump’s Truth Social page from time to time for statements.  This seems like a point to hammer on:

The FBI And DOJ Criminalizing Opposition To The Regime Is How The Republic Ends [More]

So is that a bug or a feature?

Every American should be frightened and mad as hell by such unprecedented police state thuggery tactics and there must be a complete dismantling and elimination of the FBI. This is too much for our republic to withstand,” concluded Congressman Gosar. [More]

FBI delenda est.

This is a provocation. They are trying to get a reaction that allows a further crackdown. Don’t take the bait. [More]

He’s right about deliberate provocation, but this piece feels incomplete. “Be smart” has to include more than “do nothing.”

Remember when Trump said it would be best for armed government agents to raid you and take your property first and then “go through due process second?” [More]

Helluva thing, being hoist with your own petard.

And here’s the comedy gold:

“The Department of Justice is committed to holding accountable those who wrongly believe there is one rule of law for the powerful and another for the powerless. No one is above the rule of law.”

Is it really so wrong to wonder if she made the administration’s enemies list?

Finishing the Sentence

“We respectfully disagree with the Court’s conclusion that the Second Amendment forbids New York’s reasonable requirement that individuals seeking to carry a concealed handgun must show that they need to do so for self-defense. The Department of Justice remains committed to saving innocent lives by enforcing and defending federal firearms laws, partnering with state, local and tribal authorities and using all legally available tools to tackle the epidemic of gun violence plaguing our communities… [More]

Attorney General Merrick B. Garland Delivers Remarks Announcing Charges Against Alleged Gun Trafficker [More]

All this to get one guy? Any figures on how much has been spent so far and estimates on how many more of us will have to work for the rest of our lives to pay for this?

And “Blah…blah…blah prohibitionist talking points…”

At this rate, they oughta have things under control sometime before the sun burns out…

Dimming the Lights

Prosecutors said Johnson was intentionally brandishing his weapon at five officers conducting rooftop surveillance, while the defense said he was only using his flashlight to see who was up there. [More]

Maybe he was, but all things considered, it sounds like he’s lucky they didn’t light him up.

Why this is a federal case is another matter altogether.

Profiles in Teflon

Former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann was acquitted Tuesday of lying to the FBI when he handed over since-debunked computer data that purportedly tied Donald Trump to Russia, with jurors drawn from a largely Democrat-leaning pool saying special counsel John Durham didn’t prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. [More]

Well, that wad is shot. No one really thought this was going to be allowed to go anywhere, did they?

UPDATE:

A juror in the trial of former Hillary Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann told the media after his unanimous acquittal on Tuesday that she didn’t think the case should have gone forward because lying to the FBI  wasn’t a big deal. [More]

Yep, in-your-face nullification.

Who thought three Hillary donors on the jury were unobjectionable? Throwing the fight much?

Encouraging Words?

Authorities believe the former agent – believed to be from Texas – was one of at least six individuals who regularly communicated with accused gunman Payton Gendron in an online chat room where racist hatred was discussed, the two officials said. [More]

My bet is the question is broader than “What did he know?”

Going Full FBI

“What the public should be looking at is the fact that the FBI gave our son the means to make this happen. He has no job, no money, no vehicle, and no driver’s license, due to the fact that he is schizophrenic and we; his parents do everything we can possible to keep him safe and functional….. He has suffered through countless serious full-blown schizophrenic delusional episodes and he has been put in numerous mental hospitals since he was 16 years old. The FBI came and picked him up from our home, they gave him a vehicle, gave him a fake bomb, and every means to make this happen none of which he had access to on his own. [More]
