In keeping with the new state requirement that all would-be handgun buyers first acquire a purchase permit, the Delaware State Police have launched a portal for permit applications. Called the “Permit to Purchase Application Portal,” the webpage is used to gather personal information, including name, address, gender, date of birth, email, employment status (including employer info), and race and ethnicity information. And remember, “law-abiding” gun owners: Back the Blue!
When I think of portals, I don’t think of anything good coming out of the other side.

The state that inflicted Joe Biden onto the political scene says banning semiautomatic rifles and magazines doesn’t infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear arms.
Mark W. Smith ties it in with related cases SCOTUS is considering. And I continue to be suspicious of relying on “common use.”

Judge shoots down Cabela’s bid to stymie Delaware probe into thousands of rounds of ammo shoplifted from Christiana Mall store – One thief says she stole 500,000 bullets because security was lax. For 18 months, the retailer has fought a state subpoena seeking loss-prevention records. [More]
Not that we can take her word for it, but still…
Coming from a policies and procedures background, this appears all so unnecessary, especially for a corporation with such organizational resources to ensure compliance.
I’ve never shopped in one. Anybody know if Cabela’s records ID information with ammo purchases?

Asking and paying the government for permission to exercise a right… yeah, that’s what the Founders had in mind.
And that law was passed by people who put their hand on a Bible or whatever , raised the other, and swore an oath before God and country.
Figures they’re the ones who gave us Biden.

Read the whole thing and see what’s condoned and enabled in the field and consider how often we never hear of such.

And, of course, the reality is, those they’re suing know damn well it’s unconstitutional.
A sporting goods store in Delaware “watched half a million rounds of ammo walk out the door”, an attorney said… The probe began over reports that significant amounts of ammunition were being stolen from Cabela’s, which at the time stored ammunition unsecured in the middle of the sales floor and “made no apparent effort to stop massive shoplifting”. [More]
Why don’t you guys just hand the Democrats more ways to spook the herd? Does the manager still have a job?
Who made the “reports”? And is it wrong to suspect “shoplifting” may not have been the problem?
Alternatively, if ammo is a “public nuisance,” what do you call food?
I gotta tell ya, this whole society makes less and less sense to a “S’cuse me, you dropped your wallet” kinda guy like me.
