“… 21 of these 160 incidents just like this were disrupted and successfully stopped by unarmed individuals…” [Watch]

I got your “run, hide, fight” right here… Funny, how you have to watch to the very end to get this calculated little factoid.

By “just like this” she means the police were unable/unwilling to get to them in time and they were forbidden by law from having the means of effective defense, making it fair to wonder what the outcome might have been and how many lives might have been saved in the other 139 incidents had that not been the case…

Fitting the Profile

Mass shooters overwhelmingly fit a certain profile, say Jillian Peterson and James Densley, which means it’s possible to ID and treat them before they commit violence. [More]

Fine, but in all their Department of Precrime advocacy, they’re a little light on full due process and still seem trapped in the mindset that passing edicts against tool possession will stop a determined maniac.

‘Safety’ First?

I request that these committees review what steps previous legislatures have enacted, what resources the State has made available to local school districts, and make recommendations to the Legislature and the Executive Branch so that meaningful action can be made on, among other things, the following topics to prevent future school shootings:
School safety
Mental health
Social media
Police training
Firearm safety [More]

OK, Governor, flesh out what you mean by that last one.

Blast from the Past?

Two teens arrested in ‘mass casualty’ plot targeting a Uvalde middle school – One of the students had numerous writings and drawings which depicted weapons capable of causing mass destruction. He wrote about being “God-like” and killing police and other persons. [More]

That’s from 2018.  I never have understood keeping extreme public danger reptiles like this anonymous due to age.

Anybody know what ultimately happened to them and where they are now?

UPDATE:

Then there’s this:

Uvalde CISD issued a statement on Thursday: Our school district is committed to the safety and education of all our students and we want to clearly communicate about safety issues when they arise. One of our Morales Junior High students was experiencing a crisis. Upon rendering aid and support, the student revealed a future plan to conduct a school shooting in the year of 2022…

I got that link from Google. I don’t see it on the Intenet Archive for 2018— rather, it shows as recent.  My guess would be some sick **** is playing us. Change my mind.

Doesn’t Seem Like They’re Leaving Much Room for Peaceful Coexistence…

House Passes ‘White Supremacism’ Domestic Terrorism Bill After Buffalo Shooting – The bill only mentions white supremacy and neo-Nazis because obviously, those are the only people who terrorize others. [More]

And:

Data Shows White Supremacists Are Not The Most Likely Mass Murderers [More]

I wonder what people who demonize whites would do if they controlled all the guns…
