Switching to a different case, as sympathetic as I may be to the devastating loss someone like Manuel Oliver suffered, that all takes a back seat in light of his demands that the law render us all equally as helpless in life or death situations as this poor girl.

Someone’s grief is not a claim on our rights. I’m sorry they’ve been driven crazy. But attack me and mine, and motivations don’t matter.
