Running Out the Clock

US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit has decided to hear en banc the Bianchi v. Brown MD “assault weapon” ban case and, thus, prevent a likely favor 2A ruling from being issued by the three-judge panel of that court. [Watch]

And as I’ve said, if the Republicans blow the elections and Dems manage to change SCOTUS, we’ll get to see which side is more serious.

Won’t You Be Our Neighbor?

Kentucky scientists beam message to star system 40 light years away inviting aliens to visit state: ‘We have bourbon’ [More]

Vs.

We human beings are still divided into nation states, but these states are rapidly becoming a single global civilization.

“Pull up a chair and have a drink” vs. “We are the Borg. You will be assimilated”…?

I don’t think I’d be accepting any party invitations from that house…

Democrats Offer Anti-Gun Insurrectionist in New York Special Election

And what’s worse is that while Suozzi showed he perfectly understands the ultimate last resort provision against tyranny behind the Second Amendment, he actively works to undermine it in his quest for power over the lives of his countrymen. [More]

Suozzi’s idea of “gun violence prevention” is to disarm you and me and start an armed uprising.

Still Not Dead

Whatever this damn thing is, it’s pretty unpleasant. I did get about twice as much sleep last night as I did the night before, probably around three hours, so maybe I’m turning a corner. The rest of the family is pretty much through the woods.

I managed to turn out one AmmoLand piece on an insurrectionist gun-grabber, scheduled to post later this morning, and a Firearms News article on Wayne, due out whenever. I’ll do announcements here and on social advocacy media when they go live, but that’s all I’m planning on doing here until Monday.

I can handle limited comments and will be checking in through the day to moderate, but please continue to hold off on tips and correspondence until the Sphinx signals “All clear.”

UPDATE

Couldn’t take it any more and went to urgent care. It’s not Covid, flu or RSV, it’s bronchitis Got prescriptions and hopefully they will knock this out and let me resume normal activities on Monday.

That’s All I Can Stands, I Can’t Stands No More

The whole fam damily has been fighting some kind of cold/upper respiratory bug (not Covid), and after several days of low-grade discomfort it’s made it’s way to me in full.

I’m going to knock it off and take it easy. I may be back tomorrow, I may not.

I’m on easy chair and tea duty until further notice. Please hold off on tips and comments.

We’re the Only Ones Ballsy Enough

J6 Truth confirmed InvestigateJ6.org and StopHate.com… earlier identified MPD Officer Jimmy Chrisman as the dangerous thug who fired the Stinger Ball Munition into crowd of peaceful patriots on January 6th. [More]

So it wasn’t Trump telling followers “to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”…?

What IS the Point?

A stunned Stephanopoulos interrupted Pelosi and said, “It’s the Constitution…”

“That’s not the point,” Pelosi said… [More]

If the object is to delegitimize consent of the governed, they’re going about it the right way.

They’ve apparently war-gamed this to suggest they can provoke some low-hanging fruit into giving cover for a demand for increased powers and crackdowns.

It’s fair to wonder how much of what the think tank eggheads perceive is based on understanding who they’re squeezing, and if confirmation bias has prevented them from comprehending alternative outcomes.

Correlation/Causation?

Did Loosening Gun Control Cause A Nationwide Drop In Homicides? [More]

I’m not sure this factors into predator decisions on whether a person looks like a victim or not. Let’s be careful with claims. Just because the other side does it doesn’t mean they won’t point and scream when “our side” does…

For now I’ll take “they didn’t go up.”

File this under “Further Study Justified.”

The March of Folly

Leaders of March For Our Lives Iowa led a crowd of about 300 students, activists, lawmakers and supporters in chants of “no more silence, end gun violence” and “enough is enough” that echoed through the Iowa Capitol rotunda Monday afternoon. [More]

Out of half-a-million students that’s all? How many were adults and how many were idiot children of idiot Democrats?

Of course this is shameless exploitation. What else would we expect from the Des Moines Register (Part of the USA Today network/a Gannett Publication)?

A Not-So Golden Parachute?

The resignation of Wayne LaPierre on the eve of the trial in New York has generated letters to Judge Joel Cohen from both sides. In addition, the pre-trial memorandum containing the NRA’s trial brief seems to throw Wayne under the bus after three plus years of defending him. [More]

A lot more than Wayne will have to end up under those wheels if they ever hope to restore any credibility.

I’m hearing rumors that they may be looking to had the reins over to Lautenberg Bob. If they really want to kill it dead, I can’t think of a better way.
