Oath Keepers: Targeted Red

I received a lot of phone calls from news agencies in the summer of 2001 after the People went to visit their Capitol on January 6. I decided to write a book that would not be subject to Internet deletion or MSM spin. It took me over a year, which explains my lengthy silence — I was immersed in it! Now it’s published, almost 600 pages on paper. [More]

Except for wondering why he chose YouTube instead of a non-hostile alternative, I’ll reserve judgment. Lemme see what he actually knows and understands first.

This is No Drill

Should advocates push for strong legislation when we know it does not have the votes to pass Congress, let alone override a president’s veto? [More]

I get their reasoning for doing so. My problem with OVERDOING it is that it comes off like phony pandering and shifts focus and resources off immediate priorities. Lather, rinse, repeat for gun-grab bills that have no chance but send everybody screaming that the sky is falling. Then we see the mansplainin’ YouTubers gushing about how HUGE it is, and when nothing comes to pass we’ve got yet another Boy Who Cried Wolf scenario, so that if something we should be paying attention to sneaks in everybody’s jaded and burned-out.

So, yeah, I see their reasoning. I also see mine.

Democrats press anti-gun policies [More]

Efforts such as this are vitally necessary to getting the word out and using the DSM’s resources to do it. I actually started writing on 2A issues after having my first two attempts published on the same day in two different papers, one being The Los Angeles Times, the other the South Bay’s The Daily Breeze. After seeing my stuff regularly getting selected, I decided to give advocacy writing a try.

I encourage anyone so inclined to try. The only advice I can give to increase your chances of getting published is: don’t try to cram too much in, avoid name-calling, stick to facts, and don’t exceed suggested word limits.

Eric Spencer, election attorney, will be running the GOP’s “War Room” on election day (Nov 8). He needs attorneys roving on the ground (troubleshooting calls for legal assistance at polling places) and in the war room (helping to answer calls/emails and troubleshooting legal issues). [More]

This is one of the most crucial election states. This latest edition of “Republican Briefs” has info activists need to be aware of.

Present in Action

WarOnGuns Correspondent CDT reacts to a political solicitation email:

He was referring to this.

It’s always rewarding to find some do more than consume information and move on, and instead figure out creative ways to act on and apply what we talk about here. Perhaps this can be a catalyst for change.

UPDATE

Perhaps. Except it looks like the Loudon County Republicans instead decided to “unsubscribe” him from their email list instead of passing useful information on to Cao’s campaign:

If You’re So Inclined

On Saturday, September 24th from 1-4 pm, patriots will gather in Washington, D.C., at the corner of Constitution NW and First St NW, North of the Reflecting Pool, to stand united against the political persecution of the January 6th political prisoners. [More]

I was thinking of titling this “Calling All Provocateurs,” but don’t want to be seen as discouraging honest efforts.  That said, I’m staying away from politically-charged crowds these days, especially ones monitored by corrupt feds planning on coming for you in force afterward at a time and place of their choosing.

Then again, some will counter, if we give our right to peaceably assemble up to that, in a way the enemies have won.

Me, I’m thinking a developing “wartime” footing makes the idea of a peaceable assembly a wishful thinking illusion, we’re beyond that now, and the new rules are, let the other guy be the one who’s vulnerable.

Anybody heard any online chatter about this?

Help Wanted, Inquire Within

[L]eftist and former NC Supreme Court Chief Justice Cheri Beasley, if elected to the U.S. Senate, has admitted she would “be the 51st vote to end the filibuster…” And if Beasley is allowed to cast a vote ending the filibuster, the ban on semi-automatic firearms Democrats have been trying to pass, as well as universal gun registration (aka “universal background checks”) will become law shortly thereafter. [More]

So what will NC gun owners do about that?

What If You Mustered the Militia and No One Came?

This has been out for three weeks and only has 811 views to date on YouTube…? Is that indicative of the interest Oregon gun owners have in being informed, let alone involved?

And according to Oregon Firearms Federation:

With the media in the tank for them, they will not have to spend much on spreading their message, while we have been forced to spend a lot. An excellent video produced for us is being denied digital distribution because it “involves guns.” Of course it does. It’s a gun ban ballot measure!

I wish I could believe that Oregon gun owners who won’t lift a finger to do the easy things now are ready, willing, and able to do the hard ones later. How pathetic that a guy in Ohio does more to share advocacy information than most of them, and has for years.

And it’s not just them.

KE Arms Sued: What GWACS Armory Doesn’t Want You To Know — A Lawyer Explains [Watch]

As I indicated earlier, I don’t know anything about this and won’t have time to learn. There’s only one of me and the plate is overflowing with other priorities and commitments already. Full disclosure: I didn’t even have time to watch this 19-minute video in its entirety, either.

I post this as an information resource for those of you who do have an interest in this matter. If you have intel to add, from either side, please feel free to leave relevant comments.

Who’s Minding the Store?

Mastriano will make Pennsylvania a “2nd Amendment Sanctuary,” where our rights will be protected against misguided federal bureaucrats that want to disarm law-abiding citizens. Mastriano will work with the legislature to make PA a safe, constitutional carry state [More]

Vs.

Josh Shapiro has committed to governing with gun sense as a priority. [More]

So what are Pennsylvania voters setting to do?

Is now the time for “the fastest growing pro-gun organization in Pennsylvania’s” Facebook page to have not had an update post for years? And their last blog post was in 2010? Especially considering their last mention in the news feed was in January, and before that 2018…

My guess is there are a lot more gun owners in Pennsylvania than the 15K that “follow” GOA-PA on Facebook.

Where’s the organization and where’s the support for organizations? Or should we just get used to saying “Governor Shapiro” and “Senator Fetterman”?
