Just Like the Founders Intended

This bill would require any applicant for a firearm safety certificate… to complete a training course no less than 8 hours in length… This bill would also require that personal firearm importer to obtain a valid firearm safety certificate and include a copy of the valid firearm safety certificate within the report. So the “A” isn’t good enough?

It will never be enough. They will always demand more.

Biden Proves Gun Control Doesn’t Work

A Dothan man was arrested again on Monday just two months after former President Joe Biden commuted his sentence. Dothan Police charged Willie Frank Peterson on Monday with possessing cocaine, hydrocodone, marijuana, and two counts of illegally possessing firearms… [More]

So… he just went around all those hoops you and I are forced to jump through…?

I wonder who was working the autopen that day…

Third Time’s a Charm?

GOA and GOF have officially submitted our petition for a writ of certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court in Antonyuk v. James! This case began as a direct challenge to New York’s unconstitutional attempt to ban concealed carry by declaring nearly every location a “sensitive place.” But now, it’s become a battle over lower courts defying SCOTUS rulings. [Watch]

Note the first name on the petition…

The Final Stretch

As we enter the final days of the 2025 Legislative Session, the governor is making a frantic effort to push her gun-control agenda across the line. Two bills have been scheduled for Thursday, 3/20. SB279, the gas-operated firearm and magazine ban [and] SB318, the gun store liability bill that could put every gun store in NM out of business by enabling frivolous lawsuits against firearms industry companies… [More]

That’s today.

Kash Patel, Shorten the Leash

A year ago, the ATF raided an airport exec’s home—no knock, they covered the cameras, cut the power, and kicked open the front door. They shot him dead in front of his wife over gun sale suspicions… Seeking to stop this from occurring in his state again, Rep. Wayne Long reached out to NAGR and we teamed up to draft HB 1481, the Anti-ATF Commandeering Act. [More]

That could work in AR if they can get enough support. As for the rest of the Republic, why not try to stop such abuses by putting the responsibility where it belongs?

Stupid Should Hurt

Minnesota Sen. Justin Eichorn was arrested on March 17, accused of soliciting a 17-year-old girl for prostitution in Bloomington. [More]

Of course, Democrats are having a field day with emotionally charged words like “looking to have sex with someone’s child” and “No one who solicits children belongs anywhere near public office or the State Capitol,” but the fact remains, the age of consent in Minnesota is 16.

But I agree, such behavior in a political leader is not only twisted but leaves him vulnerable to blackmail compromise, and he’s going to lose more than his seat: How about his wife, and the respect of his four children, not to mention his freedom…?

And on top of that he hurt every constituent who believed in the principles he espoused but did not live by, and gave the Democrats a weaponized sound bite to use against them.

Gun owners are already distancing themselves.

This isn’t aging well:

Neither will this.

I hope somebody is telling him he’s already devastated his family enough and if he doesn’t want to have his memory be the stuff of nighmares for the rest of their lives, he won’t even think of trying to get out of this by eating a gun.

All You Need is Love?

Singer Courtney Love announces she’s getting UK citizenship, trashes ’emperor’ Trump [More]

Jeez, I didn’t even know (or care) if she was alive. I still don’t.

Make sure the drug rehab place gets the money she owes them first.

As I noted in “A Judgment Call” (Guns magazine, March, 2005):

Where do we begin with grunge diva Courtney Love? Multiple arrests for drug abuse, reportedly shooting heroin while pregnant? Assault with a deadly weapon, attacking a woman at her ex-boyfriend’s home? Hitting a man at a nightclub in the head with a microphone stand? Getting arrested for disrupting a transatlantic flight? Being assigned a guardian, losing custody of her daughter and being institutionalized?

How about if we just focus on her statement to the Million Moms that US gun laws are “nihilistic and barbaric”?

We see which option Kurt chose.

Some of these overprivileged headcases can’t leave fast enough.

A Step in the Right Direction

So, this puts a plus mark in the Bondi record. We’ll see what it really means as things develop. Case in point, how does it override the Schumer funding prohibiton on restoring rights?

Lest They Be Judged

I don’t see one other option: Investigate the legality of their appointments.

If by Biden autopen, pursue that. If by Obama, many of us believe an official forensic investigation would tell us why those questioning his legitimacy were universally derided as “birthers.” And why are his Columbia records haven’t been released, particularly the ones purportedly mentioning Kenya.

And as long as they’re at it, just for yucks, why not see if they can find Big Mike’s birth certificate?

Ah, the lot of the downtrodden

Me, instead of living a life of furious resentment, I’m remembering working part time in the KSU Supply Center picking and delivering food for dorm cafeterias and campus furniture/equipment for $1.93 an hour and being so proud of my ability to house myself in a dormer window closet (that was so small my bed touched three walls and the slanted ceiling meant I could only stand up by the door) that I paneled my room.

I guess such privilege means I’ll be forever out of touch.
