I was struck by a recent article in the “popular press” on “beloved influential icons we’ve lost in 2022” and noted the lead-off was a rapper shot to death by cronies during a bowling alley craps game. I could only shake my head at the pH factor absurdity of how “our” manipulating cultural narrative drivers direct public attention.

That, of course, is part of a plan.

When the self-important “Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences” goes through its “complete” list of departed luminaries at its next awards ceremony, you can bet the documentary filmmaker who deserved recognition and honor throughout his career — and a posthumous lifetime achievement award now — will remain unmentioned as the glitterati goes about its task of furthering cultural degeneracy while lauding fellow perverts and subversives.

It’s up to us to honor and remember the man. You can start by setting aside some time to learn about his work, and then by sharing it.

As a result of the passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA) of 2022, signed into law on June 25, 2022, the NICS Section has been working towards the implementation of an enhanced background check process for persons between the ages of 18-20. The enhancement provides the opportunity for additional outreach and research to be conducted regarding the existence of any juvenile adjudication information and/or mental health prohibition. As a result, transactions on persons between the ages of 18-20 will initially be delayed and the address of the individual will be collected so that the appropriate local and state entities may be contacted. The enhanced process will begin on November 14, 2022, for all transactions on persons under the age of 21 as previously described. Checks on persons under the age of 21 could be extended for a period up to ten business days. Therefore, it is possible for an FFL to be contacted with an updated Brady Transfer Date. As a temporary measure and until the NICS can be updated to provide this information electronically, NICS staff will be calling FFLs to advise of any change in the transfer date. In preparation for calls from NICS, you will be asked to verify your license number and code word. You may wish to have this information readily available for you and your staff. [More]

At least we know from Harpreet Chada that Laurie’s Big Club wasn’t exclusively “white privileged,” but I’d still like to see someone look into other “underrepresentation.”

In answer to an anticipated question, this was a civil trial and one of her defenders says regardless, these are not felonies. And here I was looking forward to Laurie becoming a “prohibited person” if they end up bringing criminal, charges.

We all make mistakes, sometimes big ones. I always thought you could tell a lot about character by what we do after– admit them, apologize and join in finding and spreading the truth— or try to hide it and hope nobody notices.

Then again I’m presuming this was a mistake and not some professional liar trying to slip a fast one by for political gain.
