The Elephant in the Room

A posting about a DGU against a home-intruding bear somehow elicits a response that it was “shocking and evil” and segues into going to other countries to hunt is “disgusting and shows contempt for God’s creation.” [More]

I’ll take the side that an uninvited and unpredictable animal in my home, two-legged or four — is fair game. And while I never personally have trophy-hunted, I understand that aside from monetary benefits to the society that facilitates it, there is also another group that (unsurprisingly) benefits.

As for bringing God’s will into the argument, I confess I’m out of my depth (show me a human being who isn’t), but would not discount citing “mighty hunter before the Lord” Nimrod and “cunning hunter” Esau, or Genesis 9:3.

And loaves and fishes appear problematic, PETA hysteria notwithstanding.

As for non-food uses, I ain’t givin’ up my Center for Biological Diversity gorilla hand ashtray.

The Nuclear Option

Oops, I see I made a typo.

I could say I was keyboarding it one-handed while my three-year-old granddaughter was trying to climb up into my lap because she wanted me to go to YouTube and sing the Sponge Bob song with her, or I could say I did it on purpose because I was trying not to offend Allah.

Take your pick.

So, what’s a “real” one? As Thomas Paine figured out 234 years ago:

[T]he idea of hereditary legislators is as inconsistent as that of hereditary judges, or hereditary juries; and as absurd as an hereditary mathematician, or an hereditary wise man; and as ridiculous as an hereditary poet laureate.

That’s the thing about the left. They believe their function is to rule subjects, not to enact the will of their masters:

“What should we think of a gentleman, who, upon hiring a waiting-man, should say to him—’my friend, please to take notice, before we come together, that I shall always claim the liberty of eating when and what I please, of fishing and hunting upon my own ground, of keeping as many horses and hounds as I can maintain, and of speaking and writing my sentiments upon all subjects.’ A servant must be a fool, who would not suppose such a master to be a madman… Let these truths sink deep into our hearts: that the people are the masters of their rulers and that rulers are the servants of the people…”

A Democrat Conundrum

“I shouldn’t have had to be scared to change in the women’s locker room. I’m not allowed to show my hair or my body to biological males, and I shouldn’t have had to deal with that. I should have had those privacy rights since the second I walked into the locker room since my freshman year,” Hazameh, a practicing Muslim, told Fox News Digital. [More]

So… whose side does Newsom take? And what a coward, trying to offload the problem on the legislature instead of making his advocacy and expectations to them known as figurehead leader of the state’s majority.

Even Yul can’t figure this one out.

I feel like my life’s work of peaceably advocating for Constitutional fidelity has been wasted if these upstarts can just come along and usurp that “greatest threat” status I’ve labored so hard to achieve…

One of These Things is Not Like the Other

As a result of the Agreement, the Antithesis is not a rifle, short-barreled rifle, nor is it an NFA firearm; therefore, (i) no NFA forms are necessary to sell, transfer, transport, deliver, or otherwise deal in or possess the Antithesis, and (ii) no ATF Form 5320.20, Application to Transport Interstate or to Temporarily Export Certain National NFA Firearms, is necessary to transport the Antithesis across state lines because the firearm is not subject to 18 U.S.C. § 922(a)(4) or (b)(4). A Day to Remember

Don’t forget it’s Constitution Day.

I guess it doesn’t rate a Google Doodle (hey, it’s not like it’s “Mexico Independence Day“)…

Or a proclamation, for that matter…

And Happy Birthday, younger feral son Qusay.

UPDATE

I posted a reminder to the president on Truth Social:

I then called the White House number only to find out it is limited to an an announcement about tours, and then called the switchboard only to be told they cannot pass along messages and “they’re out for the day.”

Just to make sure I didn’t miss anything, I decided to see if Google’s AI could help, and this was the response:

As of September 17, 2025, the White House has not issued a statement or proclamation specifically from President Donald Trump commemorating Constitution Day. While the day is typically observed with presidential proclamations, a search of White House and official channels showed no such announcements for the current year.

That’s more than not a good look. Especially since the AI answer says Joe Biden didn’t forget.

Realizing that the guy is busy and out of country being feted by British royalty, this nonetheless could and should have been prepped in advance and represents a failure on the part of his staff to look out for their boss’s image and interests.

This DHS statement hardly cuts it.

If I had time I’d do a deeper dive and see what the rest of his administration and the Congress has to say, and who said nothing.

Teach Your Children Well

Why would we expect them to grow up to be anything but even more dangerous versions of this?

Addendum: This just seems so outrageous I looked to see if maybe some troll faked the voice-over to smear these people and get others to help spread the word. So far, I can’t prove this isn’t real.

The Gift Horse

Now let’s think this through.

The guy was “stripped … of nearly all his privileges due to allegations of ‘abusive’ and ‘violent’ behavior — and the ‘pattern of harassment, hostility, and intimidation of colleagues and staff’”…?

A black, female Democrat lawmaker felt compelled to file for a protection order against him because she “did not feel safe… after a number of female Democratic lawmakers accused him of aggressive and threatening behavior in private and public interactions”…?

Just the guy to lecture us on guns

This guy is a gold mine. Why would Republicans want a Democrat candidate who doesn’t bear such political vulnerabilities to run in his stead?

There’s No Fear and Then There’s Foolhardy

“It’s to show people that conservatives, and people in general, aren’t afraid to go out and talk about their beliefs in the public square… Even though Charlie sat behind a table just like ours and was shot and killed. We want to show that we’re not scared,” Higby told Fox News Digital. [More]
