During MSNBC’s The 11th Hour on Wednesday night former Republican strategist and Lincoln Project senior advisor Stuart Stevens proved that for many on the left, speech is violence. This latest example came when host Stephanie Ruhle asked for Stevens’ opinion on the recent spat of random shootings that have taken place over the past week. Stevens then suggested that the outrage over beer company Bud Light using a man dressed up as a woman during one of their promotional commercials was behind some of the violent incidents. [More]

Lincoln Police released a statement after the vote: “The chief is disappointed in the legislature’s decision because the most important factor in making these decisions should be public safety and the men and women who serve our community.”

Where I come from, 55% is a failing grade.

This bill would prohibit, commencing on January 1, 2027, a licensed firearms dealer from selling, offering for sale, exchanging, giving, transfering, or delivering a semiautomatic pistol, as defined, unless the pistol has been verified as a microstamping-enabled pistol. The bill would also prohibit a person from modifying a microstamping-enabled pistol or microstamping component with the intent to prevent the production of a microstamp. Stop Me If You’ve Heard This One Before

Recently, Fred Edgecomb, who has been affiliated with both the NRA and its state affiliate, the NC Rifle & Pistol Assoc., was heard claiming credit for passing Senate Bill 41 to repeal NC purchase permits and expand concealed carry into churches sponsoring schools. GRNC members should understand that neither NRA nor NCRPA had any apparent role in passing SB 41. NRA lobbyist DJ Spiker only showed up at the last minute, and we are unaware of any significant action by NCRPA. In truth, it was GRNC volunteers who sent alerts, packed committee meetings, walked legislative hallways, and deluged legislators with input. [More]
