Of course, Democrats are having a field day with emotionally charged words like “looking to have sex with someone’s child” and “No one who solicits children belongs anywhere near public office or the State Capitol,” but the fact remains, the age of consent in Minnesota is 16.
But I agree, such behavior in a political leader is not only twisted but leaves him vulnerable to blackmail compromise, and he’s going to lose more than his seat: How about his wife, and the respect of his four children, not to mention his freedom…?
And on top of that he hurt every constituent who believed in the principles he espoused but did not live by, and gave the Democrats a weaponized sound bite to use against them.
Gun owners are already distancing themselves.
This isn’t aging well:
I hope somebody is telling him he’s already devastated his family enough and if he doesn’t want to have his memory be the stuff of nighmares for the rest of their lives, he won’t even think of trying to get out of this by eating a gun.

Assault with a deadly weapon, attacking a woman at her ex-boyfriend’s home? Hitting a man at a nightclub in the head with a microphone stand? Getting arrested for disrupting a transatlantic flight? Being assigned a guardian, losing custody of her daughter and being institutionalized?
How about if we just focus on her statement to the Million Moms that US gun laws are “nihilistic and barbaric”?
We see which option Kurt chose.
Some of these overprivileged headcases can’t leave fast enough.

So, this puts a plus mark in the Bondi record. We’ll see what it really means as things develop. Case in point, how does it override the Schumer funding prohibiton on restoring rights?

Me, instead of living a life of furious resentment, I’m remembering working part time in the KSU Supply Center picking and delivering food for dorm cafeterias and campus furniture/equipment for $1.93 an hour and being so proud of my ability to house myself in a dormer window closet (that was so small my bed touched three walls and the slanted ceiling meant I could only stand up by the door) that I paneled my room.
I guess such privilege means I’ll be forever out of touch.
