Think of It as Plague Insurance

“Mr. Labarge’s terror campaign sent ripples of fear throughout the journalism community and violated the bedrock principles enshrined in the Bill of Rights. Our office remains steadfast in our commitment to safeguarding the rights of journalists to report without fear of retribution and to put behind bars those who try to silence the media through threats and violence,” Levy said. [More]

The DOJ suddenly finding it in its self-interest to virtue signal about the Bill of Rights notwithstanding, Levy knows the First Amendment is a restraint on government, and that’s reflected in the actual charges that didn’t mention it:

…conspiracy to commit stalking through interstate travel and using a facility of interstate commerce… conspiracy to commit stalking using a facility of interstate commerce… stalking using a facility of interstate commerce and aiding and abetting… stalking through interstate travel and aiding and abetting.

Sudden interest in rights is the DOJ careerists’ equivalent of painting lamb’s blood on the door frame so the wrath of Trump passes over them. I do wonder, though, if the same amount of energy would have been spent on “just a blogger” as on “real reporters.”

Still, it’s analagous to more ways a proactive AG could protect the Second Amendment from state and municpal infringements… if she was instructed to.

And They Shall Be Like Gods?

Where they were taking us through their plans, and it was – basically just full government – full government control – like this sort of thing, there will be a small number of large companies that will be completely regulated and controlled by the government, they told us. [More]

You know, fascism. The real kind, not what Democrats channeling their inner Antifa accuse Constitutionalist of being.

As for “debanking,” add that to the list of things “Gun Owners for Trump” needs to bring to his ear: No federal bailouts for discriminators.

Do You Come from a Land Down Under?

NDIS participants and sex workers feel ‘betrayed’ by sexual services funding ban now being in effect [More]

Sorry. My post title just kind of wrote itself.

Y’know, if you have a right to sex, that implies someone can be compelled to give it to you. I’m just envisioning some kind of Christian baker analogy where a provider can’t refuse services to someone whose proclivities they find objectionable.

And what if abled recipients choose to identify as disabled?

That’ll Show Us!

It’s not a procedure you’d expect a 28-year-old to be planning. But for Lydia Echols from Texas, having her fallopian tubes removed is the price she’s willing to pay to ensure her reproductive rights. [More]

So, Newsweek managed to find a handful of democracy-hating Democrat drama queens choosing to permanently remove their choices… no, don’t try to make sense out of it.

Or primal screams of rage.

Or siding with the allies of the authors of this “How To” manual:

And, of course, they don’t want women — or anyone besides enslavers — to be armed.

So, we’re supposed to believe lunatics removing themselves from the gene pool is a bad thing?

Now shave your heads and tell us you won’t have sex (not that there was ever much danger in the first place)

The People’s Privileged Champion

The Rock says ‘freedom is our greatest privilege’ while visiting troops in Hawaii… Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson” is the people’s champion for a number of reasons… [More]

A fake “action hero” tells the real deals he doesn’t understand what rights are. I wonder if he told them he also wants to impose Biden/Harris disarmament edicts on them when they get out.

What the hell kind of suck-up lede is that, “real reporter” Tracy Wright?

GRAPHIC: Police release partial bodycam video before shooting of mom, infant [More]

Once she grabbed the knife and lunged, the potential for tragedy was set in motion. Monday morning quarterbacking, it’s fair to wonder why they let her leave the closet where she was unarmed and contained.

The Wrong Question

“When I heard it was over 80 shell casings, I’m not numb to it, but it does not surprise me… that’s when I say we have to look at where the weapons are coming from?” Vice President of Public Safety of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis James Clark said. [More]

If that’s his focus, expect things to get nothing but worse.

Just About Everyone Outside Washington D.C. Supports Trump’s Plan To ‘Wreck’ The Bureaucracy [More]

It’s the type of exciting prospect that could make us giddy with expectations. But like with guns, there will be things he can do, things he can’t do, and plenty of room for missteps and circumstantial changes between the two.

None Dare Call It Mental Illness

Corporate media outlets have buried, downplayed, or otherwise shelved a new study which reveals that “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) policies cause people to become ‘hostile’ – essentially seeing racism where none exists. [More]

You need a study to show widespread encouragment of a sense of unearned entitlement and denial of reality are personally and socially destructive?

His Own Worst Enemy

Getting to the Bottom of Matt Gaetz’s Nomination and Withdrawal [More]

No doubt Deep State extortion and partisan DOJ corruption were at the center of this. That said, he stuck his own head in the noose. Who the hell sends money to sex partners? AG power for someone that exploitable would just tighten the grips on the strings.

Round 2 Redux

Today on Armed American Radio Mark continues the conversation started yesterday with David Codrea on Pam Bondi and her 2A chops or lack thereof. Is she right for gun owners as head of DOJ after her support for Florida’s post Parkland gun control bill? [Listen]

In case you missed it live and want to hear it.

Here’s Round 1.

And my elaborated thoughts on what Donald Trump’s election means for the Second Amendment are here.

A Bit Much

Rock singer says he’s a man again 11 years after coming out as trans woman [More]

So, will he still be “every bit as ‘biologically female’ as cis women”? (And what’s curious here is that while Moms Demand Action decries someone who says stupid sh!+ like that being “silenced,” Google is pretty silent itself on where Zooey Zephyr stands on guns.)

But back to the change of heart– another story points to the danger of decisions made without full consideration of consequences. It makes me wonder how many people don’t realize what a regrettable idea it was until after they’ve jumped from the bridge.
