We’re the Only Ones Too Late Enough

NYC woman calls 911 three times as she’s terrorized, slashed by ex-boyfriend, but cops don’t show up until next day [More]

What does that tell us about our national media, its priorities for promulgating useful knowledge, and its motivation for ignoring anything that doesn’t advance approved narratives that most people are unaware of this most basic of truths?

Fools and Your Money are Soon Parted

Harris County says ShotSpotter gunfire-detecting device has made a difference [Watch]

Sure it has.

Chipman’s buddies now have $800K more from the public trough.

And just look at those talking heads regurgitate whatever those they’re supposed to be watchdogging tell them, all with practiced looks of sincerity and concern. I’m wondering if there is anything more useless than “real reporters.”

The Long March to Tyranny

As Edwin Vieira Jr. noted in Kolbe v. Hogan:

This reliance on a permanent private market for firearms guaranteed that most militiamen, through their own efforts, could always obtain firearms suitable for both collective and individual self-defense, and forestalled tyranny by precluding rogue public officials from monopolizing the production, distribution, and possession of firearms.

This is more than tyranny. Deliberately undermining “the security of a free State” is treason.

Funny Thing Is…

Gun sales have exploded. Funny, that didn’t make us all safer. [More]

What’s “funny” is imagining how safe anyone but the predator would be if defense against attacks was left up to Paul Waldman.

Consider the source.

Langley Outdoors Academy has a chart that pretty much refutes the dweeb’s entire silly premise in one glance. [Watch]

We’re the Only Ones Voluntary Enough

You know, one of the programs that we launched when I first became sheriff was working with a judge for a gun surrender program, and it’s in one of the family courts, and it’s been pretty successful. We do it… we encourage someone going through a divorce if they have a weapon, to be able to surrender that weapon voluntarily and for us to be able to store it safely while they’re going through a situation…   [Watch]

It’s all voluntary. You volunteer to surrender it. You just need them to volunteer to give it back.

We’re the Only Ones Evidence-Tampering Enough

After the snippy exchanges, one of the officers searches Pesce’s vehicle and finds his police badge — and remarks, “Ohh,” NJ.com said, referring to the hour-plus footage the site obtained. Both officers then turn off their cameras, the outlet said — with their tone markedly different when the cameras are switched back on, with Pesce now being called “chief,” the outlet noted. I’d say “Now imagine had this been you” except I don’t know anyone who would get himself in this type of disgustingly pathetic situation.

AzCDL Legislative Update

The Arizona legislature remains focused on the state budget and has done little to advance the pro-rights bills AzCDL supports. This is not unusual late in the session and we remain hopeful that some or all of these bills will receive attention before Sine Die, when the legislature adjourns for the year. [More]

If your rep owes gun owners for his position of extreme privilege, let him know you supported him before because you expected proactive leadership in return.

And if my masculine pronoun default offends anyone, good.
