A Taxing Proposition

[A] state court in Colorado, Denver, Colorado, has just said that a lawsuit challenging the state’s excise tax of 6-and-a-half % on guns and gun-related accessories may be unconstitutional under the Second Amendment. [Watch]

It seems like only yesterday I had to write a letter to NRA-ILA telling them to call off their rep who was discouraging gun owners from supporting the effort by dismissing us as, quote, “wild-eyed extremists.”

Farewell and Adieu to You Ladies of Spain

The White House bashed Spain’s left-wing government after the border between Spain’s North African enclave of Ceuta and Morocco collapsed Thursday… Video shows hordes of apparently military-aged men smiling and posing for cameras, some carrying swimming flippers, and sprinting through the streets as authorities struggle to corral the unruly masses. Ah, what the hell. “Stolen land” right, commies?

This is what enemies of freedom want for here. But outrageously, calling invaders what they are doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in passing thanks to treason in high places (getting an assist from leading “gunfluencers”).

The Legislation on the use and ownership of firearms in Spain is probably one of the most restrictive in Europe. This is included in the Spanish constitution under article 149.26 where it is said that the Spanish government has exclusive competence control over production, sale, possession and use of firearms and explosives. Spanish law, except in specific cases determined by Spanish authorities (mostly related to security forces or people in a situation of grave danger), considers the use of weapons only for Olympic shooting and other official shooting sports or hunting. True, and every politician who uses the phrase “our democracy” ought to be horsewhipped off the podium– especially if he’s a Republican.

Equally as instructive about the self-immolation of a nation reaching critical mass on self-entitled reprobates and wastrels is what he told the Massachussetts Militia.

UPDATE

CP follows up with some personal commentary we wold do well to read:

I see that you already posted that Mayor FiveHead sacked the Police Chief.

Did you notice in that opinion piece that it was all “gHoSt gUnS!” this and “gHoSt gUnS!” that but not a single mention of the fact that any auto conversion device is illegal in the state of WA (never mind the Fed penalties)? I told my gf that this is like Seattle’s version of the PCH fires fiasco. And the funny thing is these white liberals who vote for these clowns are shocked out of their smug complacency into a position of “Well!! This is GROSS incompetency!! I’m angry and want accountability”.

WRONG. DEItards like Shon Barnes couldn’t give 2 shits about the jobs or even trying to look competent. Their MO is just to land these high paying, big benefits package, low accountability and just milk the taxpayers dry. THAT’S IT. 99% of the time no-one will see that they really don’t actually do anything to earn these kind of packages, in fact they don’t do anything much at all except for work short hours, go on taxpayer funded jollies to all manner of foreign locations – for “conferences” – and the lack of review and oversight on their performance is such that they know they can easily get away with it.

It’s only in the 1-5% chance of a shitstorm like the PCH fires or the Bite of Seattle shooting that the facade comes crumbling down and everyone sees the wizard behind the curtain . Even then they get to walk away and pay no penalties, criminal or civil. It’s a sweet grift that the left have perfected over decades in local governance in all manner of cities and counties across the nation.

My ‘Conspiracy Theory’

Noting all the economic destruction, that people suffered medical complications where many died, and that disastrous long-term effects, especially on children, are yet unknown: I suggest it’s because he fears what his powerful, incentivized accomplices (in the “private sector” and in both parties) would do to him if he spills the beans on their culpability more than he does what Rand Paul will do to him if he doesn’t. And the only thing preventing them from removing him from the board is a deadman’s switch/file that names names.
