Today, the Governor held a press conference to promote her anti-gun and anti-freedom agenda. But her displeasure at the tabling of SB171 yesterday was noticeable, so she is doubling down on pushing for her slate of anti-gun bills. On Friday the 17th, the House Judiciary Committee heard both HB100, the 14-day waiting period bill, and HB101, the ban on the sale of semiautomatic rifles and registration of currently owned ones. [More]
The session is halfway over and heating up.
On Friday, February 17th, the House Judiciary Committee will be hearing both HB100 and HB101. HB100 would impose a 14 day waiting period for all firearm sales. HB101, would ban the sale of semiautomatic rifles, and .50 caliber rifles and ammunition. Currentl owners of .50 caliber and semiautomatic rifles would have to register them with the state of New Mexico or face criminal charges. [More]

If you’re a New Mexico gun owner, that doesn’t mean NMSSA is under attack, it means you’re under attack.
Why not support the organized effort to fight back?

But don’t worry. Any person will be protected as a traverser. Maybe.
For this and other “concessions” on illegitimate claims against our birthrights “we” accepted the “voice vote” Hughes Amendment…?

In HB101, which was filed today by Representative Andrea Romero, if you own a semi-automatic rifle you would have to destroy it or surrender it to the state by July 1 of this year or you would be committing a felony. The bill also makes it a felony to own a magazine that holds more than 9 rounds. [More]
