I note her campaign website highlights no issues and donations go through WinRed.
So, Nella, why should a no-compromise gun owner get a fire in the belly over your candidacy? What laws will you work to support? What laws will you work to repeal? Where do you see “common ground” with prohibitionists?
What makes donating to you a more prudent ultimate investment than buying more ammo? What makes walking precincts and manning phone banks a more prudent investment of time than honing skills at the range?
Because — and pay attention to this — being just another establishment Vichycon won’t cut it. New Mexico has been dominated by tyrants. There are no “friends across the aisle.”

Just because the session is winding down doesn’t mean the prohibitionists are going to take a break.
The bulk of Saturday night’s debate was over three failed amendments introduced by Republicans which sought to circumvent the waiting period for active duty military, people who have obtained a family violence protection order and those who pass a background check before the waiting period is over. In the the Senate Judiciary Committee today, there was a committee substitute bill for HB129, the 7-day firearm purchase waiting period proposal… SB204 was postponed in the Senate Health and Public Affairs Committee and will be heard later this week or weekend. HB144 was also postponed in the House Judiciary Committee to be heard later this week or weekend… There are a lot of gun control bills waiting for votes on the House Floor, HB27 the red-flag law expansion, HB114 the firearm industry liability bill, HB127 the under 21 semiautomatic gun ban, and HB137 the semiautomatic firearm sales ban and registry. All New Mexicans deserve to be safe in their communities, which is why we’re requiring a 14-day waiting period for the purchase of firearms, banning assault weapons, and raising the purchase age to 21 for all firearms… We’ll also prohibit guns in public parks and on playgrounds, allow law enforcement to directly file Extreme Risk Protection Orders, and increase penalties for for felons in possession of a firearm… [More]

Governor: It’s time to ban assault weapons in New Mexico
In defining what constitutes a public health emergency, the governor asserts that both gun violence and drug abuse “comfortably fall within” the category because of extremely dangerous conditions posed by weapons and toxic chemical agents posing an imminent threat to many New Mexico residents. The temporary orders don’t violate constitutional rights, she said. [More]

You have to get five minutes into this to get to the relevant part. Their title made me think there might have been a development I had missed in my report, but it turns out the screen shot they’re using to make their case is from two + months ago.
Where the guns are now is a question I asked:
Have investigators taken the guns into custody yet? Are they still in the same condition as in the photo or have then been “legally” destroyed since it was taken? If so, by whom and when? If done after an investigation was announced and before being surrendered, would that constitute willful destruction of evidence?

But “Come on down, and you’re on your own” is what the Farmington Police Department, New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence, and the “real reporters” at The Journal consider “gun safety,” and that’s what they’re urging everyone to take part in? He reasoned that the founding era was not the ratification date of the Second Amendment. He claimed the founding era was started in 1868 during the reconstruction era when the Fourteenth Amendment was ratified.
