She CAN Have Her Cake and Eat It Too?

I’m a New York City Liberal, and I Want a Gun … In May, I filed for and received a temporary order of protection against a former partner… I support background checks, waiting periods, assault weapon bans and gun control proposals that make it harder for people to obtain guns. [More]

Yeah, well **** you.

Never assume a late-to-the-party Gun Culture 2.0er is your friend or even educable. If they are, fine, but discern for yourself by their comments and actions if they’re worth your time to try.

If I were an FFL, I’d tell this stupid, entitled “progressive”  to get the hell out of my store and next time use better judgment when choosing “partners.”

Hitting the Ground Running

This legislative package enhances licensing requirements for concealed carry permit applicants, adds new provisions for sensitive areas where the permit holder is prohibited from carrying a concealed firearm, enhances safe storage requirements to apply if a minor under the age of 18 lives in the home, and makes technical changes to the Body Armor Law. Additionally, this legislative package establishes New York as a “point of contact” state. [More]

As WoG regulars know, I rarely post on weekends except to publicize my new articles. In this case, this release from the New York State Senate warrants an exception because it shows they were ready for the Bruen ruling and it gives a blueprint for other Democrat states to follow.

It’s yet another reason why suggesting potential infringements in c0ncurrences does nothing but help the enemy.

Bueller…?

Same as It Ever Was

Such discretionary and capricious gun laws would allow corrupt cops to disarm rival gangs that threatened Tammany Hall’s authority or undermined its political interests. Big Tim’s cronies could use the law to punish business owners who didn’t pay protection money or deny entire neighborhoods the ability of self-defense. [More]

We’re the Ony Ones Retreating Enough

Mayor Adams, NYPD already retreating from solo patrol plan in transit system after cop’s assault in Brooklyn: Exclusive [More]

While unarmed citizens have to travel solo at all hours with no “Only Ones” in sight.

I need to stop being amazed that absolute incompetents can rise to positions of political power and public prestige in this country, sometimes with a boost from surprising quarters.

And sometimes with a boost from the usual suspects turning a selective blind eye.

We’re the Only Ones Diversifying Enough

Mayor Eric Adams insisted Monday he’s not worried about police officers leaving the NYPD in droves this year — declaring that being a Big Apple cop is an “amazing career,” and that the departures present a chance to “diversify” the force. [More]

Constitutional scholars all, no doubt.

But first, they’ll have some racist policies to make more inclusive.

It’s Who You Know

Eric Adams went out of his way to promote an unconventional police tool called BolaWrap. All the while, his friend and benefactor had a stake in the device maker, earning $460k in profits while Adams praised it. [More]
