Yesterday, Gun Owners of America (GOA) and Gun Owners Foundation (GOF) re-filed a federal lawsuit in the Northern District of New York over the poorly named Concealed Carry Improvement Act, which took effect September 1st. Several additional plaintiffs who are willing to break the law or are currently in violation have joined the lawsuit, which was originally filed on behalf of a GOA member from Schenectady County. Court documents say at 2:35 Sunday morning, 41-year-old Shannon Brandt called 911 to report that he had hit a pedestrian because he was threatening him. Brandt told State Radio that the pedestrian was part of a Republican extremist group and that he was afraid they were “coming to get him.” [More]

Evidently, our judicial system has decided anyone who would deliberately run over and kill someone because he’s a Republican can be trusted without a custodian.

One finds a federal lawyer trying to use his position to avoid a drunk driving charge; another finds a government attorney getting drunk and physically belligerent at a meeting with foreign officials; the third, and most disturbing, finds an assistant U.S. attorney exposing his genitals “in a public place,” and sexually assaulting a “civilian” on a date. Based on expectations set by their “leadership,” that whole department sounds like a case study for sadists and moral defectives.

This has been out for three weeks and only has 811 views to date on YouTube…? Is that indicative of the interest Oregon gun owners have in being informed, let alone involved?

And according to Oregon Firearms Federation:

With the media in the tank for them, they will not have to spend much on spreading their message, while we have been forced to spend a lot. An excellent video produced for us is being denied digital distribution because it “involves guns.” Of course it does. It’s a gun ban ballot measure!

I wish I could believe that Oregon gun owners who won’t lift a finger to do the easy things now are ready, willing, and able to do the hard ones later. How pathetic that a guy in Ohio does more to share advocacy information than most of them, and has for years.
