I want to take a minute to talk about a funky loophole in the NFA that the folks at Shockwave were able to figure out… [Watch]
And I want to take a minute to remind readers who figured it out first.

Illegal Immigrant Released After Decapitation Allegations — ICE Recaptures – “It is absolutely repulsive this monster walked free on Illinois’ streets after allegedly committing such a heinous crime.” [More]

Remember that woman who Democrats and the media claimed was kidnapped from a parking lot by ICE, shoved into an unmarked car, held in a building, starved, to force her to self-deport??? Turns out she staged the entire “kidnapping” [More]
We don’t do enough public caning in this country.

The false police reports would indicate that the immigrant was a victim of a crime that would qualify them to apply for a so-called U visa, U.S. Attorney Alexander C. Van Hook said Wednesday at a news conference in Lafayette. He said the police officials were paid $5,000 for each name they provided falsified reports for, and that there were hundreds of names over the years. [More]

IP Lawyer Joins to Discuss Rare Breed Triggers (Forced Reset Trigger) Patents/Lawsuits [Watch]
Stephen Stamboulieh and Cameron Wales note Rare Breed’s FRT and Hoffman’s Super Safety may produce the same results, but the way they get there factors into determining a violation.
Trump Jr. takes gun company public at NYSE hoping to end ‘woke’ mindset in new ‘cultural shift’ [More]
Great. I’m a big believer in 2A and capitalism (just not the connected crony public/private partnership/fascist kind). That said, you’ll forgive me for wondering if it’s all about Phase 3 for the guy.
It’s not exactly like he actually did anything when there was no money in it for him.
And speaking of money…

Found this 14 year trip on the way-back machine in a box of junk that I was getting ready to toss. The anti-gun rights groups were predicting dire consequences if concealed carry licensees who were armed but not drinking were to be able to enter businesses that served alcohol. Just like their cries that there would be “blood in the streets” when concealed carry went through seven years earlier, their hand wringing over “guns in bars” has proven to be nothing but hysterical theatrics. How many bigoted smears and outright lies can you spot?
The article is not archived but the link redirects to Columbus Monthly, and the new incarnation is still out there spooking the “progressive” herd.

That Ryan apparently believes he had a sincere dialog suggests he also believes that Newsom was giving him return respect instead of just using him. [More]

Going to Chi-Town, of all places, for a memorial service for my wife’s brother. Before I do, I have an article to finish and several hours of hot weather yard work to complete.
Please hold off on email news tips since I won’t be able to get to them. If I can get to any that were submitted before this post I’ll try later today. Expect comments to be delayed.
Back Monday.

Why are the so-called “gun safety groups” afraid to be associated with this anti-gun “Democrat”? Why not ask them?

Accidental Shooting Statistics: A Review of Unintentional Firearm Deaths from 1979-2024 [More]
I’d use “negligent,” but we know is meant.
I read how “the first six months of 2025 had 608 accidental shootings, which is lower than previous years (2015-2024)” and wondered if we ought to get David Hogg to credit more Democrats.
The New York City Police Department cannot immediately fire dozens of rookie officers, including some with criminal records, who were allegedly hired illegally by the department, a New York Supreme Court judge ruled. The NYPD said an internal investigation found the 31 officers lied about their backgrounds on applications and should be relieved of their duties, but the judge’s ruling means the department must wait until next week to take action. San Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus, who told the county supervisors she didn’t know about her department’s request to buy 10 massage chairs, actually tried to pass off the bill for the chairs to the sheriff’s bureaus in different cities to minimize scrutiny, according to an email from her HR manager…In March… Corpus purchased two soft-serve ice cream machines for employees in the county jails. In January, the Post reported that she had purchased a $74,000 conference room table. The 22-foot by 10-foot table includes 12 “cooling fans” in the legs and 10 “lockable access doors”… At a June 24 hearing, Supervisor Speier asked Corpus why she put in a request for a $600,000 TV for the headquarters conference room. At least they have enough resources for “gun buybacks“…

What, is she speaking from constituent experience…?

I’m wondering how a “real reporter” could file this story and not think to look into that. It was the first thing I thought of, but I’m #justablogger.

So THAT explains ordinary people seeing the shooter before they did and not going up on that “sloped roof”…
It’s hard to believe they’re this lazy and incompetent and that no one who knows what they’re doing has taken advantage of that.
