Good News for a Change

HB 4145 started as another one of the Democrats’ annual attacks on liberty, property, and the Constitution. In its final form, it became a bill that delayed the worst provisions of MZ 114 and bought gun owners more time to avoid arrest and fight this insanity in court. If the Oregon Supreme Court invalidates MZ 114, HB 4145 does nothing. Either way, that’s a positive outcome. [More]

Only made possible by gun owner activism.

UPDATE: In Other News

This year, the Republican primary is once again crowded, but only 3 candidates have any realistic chance of winning. Of those three, only Ed Diehl has been an open advocate for gun rights. [More]

Department of War Memorandum on Private Guns on Military Bases a Step in Right Direction

While this is a welcome and much needed announcement, and while Hegseth’s acknowledgement that the Second Amendment is a “God-given right” is consistent with the clear intent of the Framers of the Constitution, it needs to be recognized for what it is—a good first step but not the journey’s end. Appreciate the progress. Take it, but then demand more. After all, we’re not asking for anything that isn’t ours and owed to us.

The Good Old Days

[A] 1631 law in Virginia required citizens to own firearms, to engage in practice with them, and to do so publicly on holy days. It demanded that the people “bring their pieces to the church”… This was the case in Massachusetts in 1644. The state required that “every freeman or other inhabitant of this colony provide for himself and each under him able bear arms a sufficient musket and other serviceable piece” as well as “two pounds of powder and ten pounds of bullets”…Virginia statute forbade anyone to travel unless they were “well armed,” and required that all men working in fields likewise be armed… [More]

Sorry. The great majority of immigrants don’t like that, but you’d never know that if you listened to our “gun rights leaders”…

Wonder what would happen if you listened to this attorney about the evidently still-active Massachusetts “bring your gun to church” law…

For once I say take him at his word:

“I will not be a governor that tolerates violence against women in our state. Period … I don’t want men harassing you in the women’s locker room…. “I’m going to protect women. I did as a prosecutor…no woman should be harassed in any locker room. That’s a crime,” he said.

Maybe he’ll say he wasn’t in a locker room…

Say, is that a mob forming…?

Hey, none of them have to take the bus.

Remember the good old days before Democrats f_d it all up?

Defense against highwaymen in Colonial America and the early American frontier involved a combination of armed passengers, specialized weaponry, and defensive tactics, as stagecoaches were frequently targeted for mail, cash, and passenger valuables… A common weapon for guarding coaches was the blunderbuss, a short-barreled shotgun-like firearm ideal for close-quarters combat.

Politicized Vichy Frauds

Vivek says ““The idea of a heritage American is about as loony as anything the woke left has actually put up.”

Heather Hill endorsed Kasich. (Then again, so did PVF.)

And that they don’t have Amy as an “F” makes me wonder just how lazy these PVF “researchers” are. Then again, I learned a long time ago how “reliable” their grades are.

If you’re a 2A voter, Casey’s the real deal.

That Great Replacement people who presume to lecture me say is debunked involves more than bringing in new people. Their “diversity” is needed to facilitate it.

It’s about culture.

And that’s what makes “Wait a generation or two” nonsense.
