Night of the One Percenters

Los Angeles Democrats and Hollywood stars like George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Barbra Streisand came out in full force on Saturday night for a record-setting fundraiser for Biden’s reelection campaign. [More]

It’s curious, the synergy between the “working class” party of supposed diversity, equity, and inclusion, and elites who “have taken $50 trillion from the bottom 90%.”

It’s also curious how this happened right after George Clooney got him some Quid pro Joe.

That the electorate is influenced by “celebrities” is about the best warning against “our democracy” I can think of — or it would be if the majority heeded it.

Why am I suddenly thinking “Skip Coolzip” ?

3D Bump Chess?

Very important to understand that strategic decision by Donald Trump and the NRA to basically sign off if you will on doing a bump stock ban through executive order, I didn’t like it, I was not happy about it, but I understood the strategy sometimes one has to lose battles to win the war, that is how the real world works… [Watch]

Really? A plan comes together? That’s what you’re going with?

So, I guess, “Take the guns first, due process later” was another genius move they just couldn’t tell us about?

And envisioning Inspector Clouseau pretending his screwup was intentional to save face is just me not being smart enough to understand what the grownups are doing?

Soft Pedaling

He most strikingly softened his language about immigration… Mr. Trump said he thought it was “wrong” that people who made sacrifices to come to America and attend top U.S. schools should have to go home to their countries, one of the people said. Another person who was in the room recalled that Mr. Trump made the point that the high-skilled immigrants who received an American education could either be successful in the U.S. or in their home countries. He said that the best and the brightest were needed to help America, this person said. [More]

Maybe he can answer the challenge.

So what else is he going to go soft on?

We’re the Only Ones Oath-Breaking Enough

The organization, called Police Leaders for Community Safety, will prop up anti-gunner candidates running for Congress in the hopes of getting more gun control laws passed at the federal level. [More]

The money behind it is what I want to trace.

They don’t show up on Guidestar yet, and their website is registered by proxy, and so far, it doesn’t look like they have the guts to open a “social media” account so gun owners can publicly tell these grunting oinkers what they think of them.

Fighting on Two Fronts

Meanwhile, our battles against Measure 114 are moving forward at a glacial pace. We believe our Federal lawsuit will be several more years in the courts. The state case, which gun owners are winning at this point, is headed to the Oregon Appeals Court as we speak. There is simply no way to predict the outcome on that one, but it will happen sooner. Victory there is simply essential. If we lose there, gun rights in Oregon could basically end for the foreseeable future. Those legal bills keep coming in. If you can help us with a donation to our Foundation your support will be greatly appreciated. [More]

Are you an Oregon gun owner? Do you know someone who is?

I wonder how many of these people will bother to inform everyone they’ve misled.

Still… the original assumption had a point…
