We’re the Only Ones Underreporting Enough

“This does not affect casework. This is purely a statistical issue, this is not an operational issue.” [More]

If they’re truly that incompetent, how can we belive that conclusion? How do we know it’s not a purely political issue with intent to make department performance and credit look better than it should be?

I mean, the boobs can’t tally a simple report but they can give four chiefs $500K buyouts and pass out double-digit pay increases to everyone with a snout in the trough…

We’re the Only Ones Taking It Off, Taking It All Off Enough

A suburban New York police department routinely violated residents’ civil rights, including making illegal arrests and using unnecessary strip and cavity searches, according to a new U.S. Department of Justice report. [More]

Can we presume their bodycams weren’t the only things turned on?

And the badged @$$holes who lied were only docked and aren’t in jail? Why do I wonder if one of them called “Riccola” during the cavity search?

“Back the blue” my…eye.

We’re the Only Ones Threatened Enough

Our city has faced several very difficult weeks since the fatal shooting on November 28. Since that time, I have been made aware of threats against specific officers and the entire police department. This is unacceptable behavior. No one deserves to have threats made against them. [More]

Maybe if they cleared this up I’d agree:

Akron Mayor Shammas Malik released a statement saying he was “left with many serious questions” after watching the bodycam video, including why the officer did not “activate their body cameras upon exiting their vehicle” and why the officers “used rifles instead of handguns.”

Still, 15-year-old out at at 11 pm with a gun… is it unfair to wonder about the family?

We’re the Only Ones Negligent Enough

A San Antonio police officer has died after his service pistol accidentally discharged, according to Chief William McManus. Officer William Kasberg was preparing to enter a state-mandated ALERRT training and was gathering his items when his weapon accidentally went off, striking him, according to SAPD. [More]

That’s twice they’ve blamed the gun.

That seems to be longstanding SOP.

We’re the Only Ones Disrespected Enough

Oklahoma officer charged for slamming 71-year-old man onto ground in traffic stop – Sgt. Joseph Gibson was charged with aggravated assault and battery in connection with the Oct. 27 incident that left Lich Vu, 71, suffering orbital fracture and brain bleed. [More]

But vowbreaker Michael Hunter says “There was inappropriate respect for the officer.”

That said, unless you’re prepared to take on your harasser and all law enforcement responders if you prevail, don’t argue or give them any excuse to get physical, and seek legal recourse after the fact.
