Throw the Bums Out

Three Democratic lawmakers who took part in protests on the House floor of the Tennessee statehouse will face expulsion later this week. Earlier Monday, the three lawmakers were removed from their committee assignments and had their badges to the capitol deactivated. [More]

Republicans should have had the guts to do that here.

Speaking of Selling Out…

The convention known as “SatanCon 2023” will be held on April 28-30 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. It is being promoted as “a weekend of blasphemy and remembrance in Boston” and will also celebrate TST’s 10-year anniversary. The group also claims the convention will be the “largest Satanic gathering in history.” [More]

Fortunately, Giffords assures us that “Massachusetts has some of the strongest gun laws in the country,” so at least they shouldn’t have to worry about any fatwas. Right?

Raising the Bar

Currently, when constitutional amendments are placed on the ballot, it takes only a simple majority (50% plus one vote) to change the constitution. SJR 2 would require any future constitutional amendment to be approved by at least 60% of the voters, whether proposed by initiative petition, by the General Assembly, or by a constitutional convention. [More]

This ought to buy us some time, at least.

But the changes the state is going through have already taken over where I live.

And we know how that ends up.

Who’s Asking?

WaPo: Mass shooting raises controversial question: What’s the Christian thing to do about guns? [More]

That it’s “controversial” is the first lie, but one to set everyone scurrying off in the wrong direction. Shall we consult the “historical understanding” that the Founders accepted?

“He that suffers his life to be taken from him by one who has no authority for that purpose, when he might preserve it by defense, incurs the Guilt of self murder since God has enjoined him to seek the continuance of his life, and Nature itself teaches every creature to defend [it]self.”

Or we could just listen to more violence monopoly propaganda from the useful idiot rope-selling DSM, in this case from an outlet whose elitist multibillionaire owner profits off of child pornography

Where Credit is Due

In this case, a mentally ill woman suffering a psychotic break with reality was told by the media, doctors, therapists, academics that she was perfectly sane, was actually a man trapped in a woman’s body and was literally fighting against the genocide of people like her. [More]

And Democrats. Don’t forget Democrats.

This Should End Well

The L.A. County Board of Supervisors has quietly added a proposal on Tuesday’s agenda that seeks to “decarcerate” and “depopulate” LA jails by directing law enforcement & courts to vastly expand the use of “cite and release” & return to COVID emergency bail schedule. [More]

What else would we expect from four Democrats and a Vichycon, privileged women all…?

A Plan Comes Together

We have become guinea pigs in a ruthlessly calculated, carefully orchestrated, chillingly cold-blooded experiment in how to control a population and advance a political agenda without much opposition from the citizenry. This is mind-control in its most sinister form. [More]

Is it any wonder weaker minds snap?

Gun Porn

“It’s not just voters, it Dems, Republicans, independents, gun owners, CPL holders as well as NRA members,” said Porn. Porn contended that the House members who vote “no” on gun safety measures would be easy targets for a recall, making it more difficult for Republicans to win enough seats to win back House control. [More]

Wishful thinking Bernie’s parroting a “statistic” from a 2015 poll by a Democrat group where 196 respondents said they were NRA members and 72% of those were ignorant enough to vote affirmative on “background checks.” He should come to the annual meeting in Indianapolis in April and take a poll from the floor.

I looked for several minutes but his own party sympathies are buried.

One thing he’s right about, though, is “Gun Culture 2.0.” They’re the useful idiots 97percent is counting on to divide and conquer.

The Violence Monopoly Party

Dems Move Anti-Gun Bill, Spike School Safety [More]

Unfortunately, people who want you to die have accumulated a critical mass of useful idiots. And they don’t intend to stop until they “control” everything and everyone in Everytown.

Anyone who surrenders to their totalitarian demands should not be surprised to find that’s not enough. It never will be for these maniacs.

What’s in a Pronoun?

The shooter who killed three students and three staff members at a Christian school in Nashville legally bought seven weapons in recent years and hid the guns from their parents before carrying out the attack by firing indiscriminately at victims and spraying gunfire through doors and windows, police said Tuesday. How many people were in there?

Then again, we’re talking AP English.

I remember when that was a fun thing.

In Zimbabwean dollars…?

The central bank of Zimbabwe issued $100,000,000,000,000 notes during the last days of hyperinflation in 2009, and they barely paid for a loaf of bread.

Comment Poster mike fink made an observation yesterday that made me recall a “news” interview that aired after the L.A. riots with Danny Bakewell of the Brotherhood Crusade. He had half a dozen or so sullen young worthies lined up behind him who made no attempt to present themselves as other than participants in what Maxine Waters justified as a “rebellion.” Bakewell was demanding jobs for them, and not just menial ones, demanding they want to be “managers.”

My impression, being a manager at the time and knowing full well the experience, responsibilities, discipline, and work that it required, was that they were clueless about that, and moreover uncaring, but demanding titles and lackeys they could order around. In other words, they wanted to be slave drivers.

That’s what’s being demanded here: A return to slavery, with roles reversed.

No wonder the communist traitors engineering this want our guns.

And the Crowd Went Wild

Kim Gardner hosts criminal justice reform discussion… She said poverty is the number one factor driving crime and called on St. Louis to do more to address inequities within the community. [More]

I remember my father telling me about cutting mold spots out of bread slices during the Great Depression– back in the days when you could walk into a hardware store and walk out with a .38 and before the days of getting forced wealth transfers just because you exist.

They didn’t use that as an excuse to act like savages or live in filth or blame others.

You have to scroll down to realize they’re re-soliciting on a petition that has comments that are nine months old.

That makes sense in light of another email I got from them a few days back:

“I’ll get right to the heart of it: MoveOn’s fundraising is down by just over 16,000 monthly donations so far in 2023. And that comes on top of a tough 2022.”

97percent Deception

It also adopted a new test for Second Amendment cases. Gun laws today must be consistent with the laws that existed when the Second Amendment was adopted in the late 17 hundreds. This means that gun regulations will be assessed according to their conformity with laws that were in place during the 18th and 19th centuries. [More]

The 19th Century is not ” the late 17 hundreds.” I’ve been telling you these people were liars. These “kinder, gentler” citizen disarmament Astroturfers want us to believe “equal protection” means we’re now all subject to post-Civil War Black Codes introduced by Democrats a century after the Founders ratified the Bill of Rights.

“Our side” participating lends them underserved “credibility.”

Tangentially related, WarOnGuns Correspondent Jess shares a video on a First Amendment case raising similar points.
