Today, Gun Owners of America (GOA) and Gun Owners Foundation (GOF) secured a permanent injunction against the State of Illinois’ poorly named Protect Illinois Communities Act. This law violates the Second Amendment and unconstitutionally bans many semi-automatic rifles, standard capacity magazines, and bump stocks, while instituting new registration requirements for gun owners. My once-solid Republican area is now solid Democrat “thanks” to “redrawing” of district borders, resulting in my gun-grabber rep’s reelection:

You can’t do worse than losing. I maintain a high profile in a district that attracts thousands to gun shows could have helped, and the low profile presented did nothing to mobilize them.
My only consolation: She won’t be in a position to do much damage for a few years.
