No Thanks to the Gungrabbers

An alleged would-be carjacker in Chicago is now in critical condition after being shot by his own victim on the west side of the city. [More]

If it wasn’t the norm, the question of how many times this mutt has been caught and released wouldn’t be my first one. My second question is what’s his survival and continued care going to cost taxpayers?

My next question is who but a tyrant or a useful idiot would rather the victim had been killed rather than armed?

I note my local “news ” channel wants helpless surrender to be the default instead of preparedness, training, and will.

Give them what they want, we are urged, which brings me to my last question.

What if what they want is you?

It’s your life being threatened, not your property.

Slay-at-Home Mom?

Mother of 2 fatally shoots alleged intruder, claims self-defense [More]

They say that like there’s some doubt…

That the cops let her go is a good indicator– if there was a problem with her story, separate interrogations of — and story comparisons between — the 12 and 14-year-olds will reveal inconsistencies soon enough.

A ‘Feel Good Story’ to Make You Smile

After the Brazilian government permitted the killing of motor cycle riders who rob & kill citizens – in order to put an end to this menace, this is what the citizens there are doing!!! When Law Enforcement do not do their job, citizens will… [Watch]

And no, I don’t know how true that is, but who doesn’t love a happy ending?

It’ll be a sad one if they put Lula back in power.

Knife to a Gun Fight

“At that point, the person who appears to be being robbed takes out a knife, stabs the person with the gun. That individual is now deceased.” [More]

You can have all the gear and training in the world, but without the will to do what it takes you’ve got nothing.

Everybody knows about the Tueller drill, right? So I don’t need to give a link?

The Wrong Question

Is our justice system still capable of deterring killers? [More]

It never was.

What deters us from killing has always come from within. What deters killers is the same thing that deters all predators.

Is our justice system still capable of dealing with killers?

Increasingly the system results in anything but justice, and no, it’s up to the individual to have the means, the judgment, the training, the will, and the presence of mind afterward to not do or say anything to trigger the ever-dangerous state to turn on him.

An Open Dialog

Some Shortcomings of Open Carry [More]

He makes some good points.

So do some of his critics. The angry and rude hostility that comes out in some of the responses though, when people believe they are anonymous and therefore not accountable, makes me wonder how many behave like that face-to-face.

For the record: I have written to Mike DeWine and the two governors before him in my state, Ohio, to get the “Only Ones” trained to stop threatening and assaulting open carriers. But I don’t personally open carry for the same reason I won’t rack a shotgun slide to “scare away” an intruder.

Washington Post Intentionally Conflating Lawful Defense with Criminal Violence

In the examples the influential paper chose to highlight, the posters were not calling on initiating violence against their political opponents. They were calling on supporters of churches and pregnancy centers to defend themselves against violent attackers with mayhem on their minds. [More]

One of the violence monopolists’ go-to lies is conflating self-defense with vigilantism.
