And the same went for earrings (if they got one there’d better be a pirate ship outside), piercings, body mods…

Back in a previous life when I was helping nonprofits raise funds through fireworks sales, one potential customer I was recruiting had an organization for helping former gang members remove facial tattoos so they could become more employable.

I’m reminded of a punchline from a joke I heard around a campfire over 40 years ago.
