Where Credit is Due?

@MayorBMScott has gotten no where near the credit he deserves for helping lead Baltimore to a record low in gun violence. He’s leading the way and there’s lots to learn from how Baltimore achieved this. [More]

What did he actually do and what’s the methodology used to determine effects? Otherwise, this is just more correlation ≠ causation BS to plant a meme in what passes for minds of the gullible.

That and the year ain’t over yet.

It’s the Democrat Way

Our rights should not be held hostage by the failure of Democrats to control crime in the cities they run. Baltimore, one of the cities suing Glock, is a perfect example. That city represents 9% of Maryland’s population, but 38% of the state’s gun-related homicide. Ya guys, sure, Glock did this to you. [More]

Crime is just the excuse.

‘On Behalf of Our Criminal Constituents…’

A lawsuit alleges Glock makes and sells guns that are easily turned into illegal machine guns, the state of Maryland and the city of Baltimore announced Wednesday morning. Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott and local law firms announced the lawsuit, alleging the handgun manufacturer facilitates the proliferation of illegal machine guns. Not that feral violence in Baltimore will be impacted one bit…

I guess as long as they’re squandering money on this nonsense, it’s not being used DIRECTLY against us.

I’m just waiting for survivors of some shot up violence interrupter to get a deep pockets-savvy lawyer to go after the people who encouraged him to place himself in harm’s way and who “knew or should have known” the extreme risks.

We’re the Only Ones Cut Back Enough

Baltimore is now facing apocalyptic levels of policing shortages. Last week, THREE police officers patrolled a whole district of 61,000 residents. [More]

So what better way to divert attention from total incompetence than to gaslight everyone with a meme that those opposed to DEI “don’t have the courage to say the ‘N’ word“… ?

Now, when the city descends further into hell, anyone pointing that out can be condemned as racist.

Rest Assured

“There is absolutely no indication that there’s any terrorism, that this was done on purpose,” said Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley. [More]

Funny, how officials can speak with such certainty so soon.

I hope he’s not suggesting it was in any way DEI-related…

In any case, since we’re told Francis Scott Key was racist, how is this any different than tearing down a Confederate monument?

Now It’s In for the Kill

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott said Wednesday his office has reached a settlement with Polymer80, one of the largest makers of ghost gun kits and parts in the nation, that will prevent the company from advertising and selling its firearms in Maryland. The company will also pay $1.2 million in damages. [More]

Baltimore’s ATF Lawsuit Really Only Targets ‘Law-Abiding’ Gun Dealers

The prohibitionists want to sue dealers out of existence and are using spurious allegations parroted by their complicit media partners to add another con to their repertoire of rights swindles. [More]

Does anyone believe Steve Detttelbach’s ATF doesn’t welcome being sued and hasn’t been ordered to find a plausible way to take a dive?

Another Big Weasel Moment

The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted a raid on the headquarters of Baltimore’s “Safe Streets” program on Thursday reportedly on allegations that the taxpayer-funded community program is somehow mixed up with the very gang members they are supposed to be keeping in check. The raid sent local Democrats in the city running for cover after so much of the city’s tax money has been plunged into the program that was initially meant to help quell street violence but has become an albatross for many over its lack of transparency and accountability. [More]

This seems to be a thing

Then again, criminals in charge are what the people in “our democracy” want.

The more corrupt and incompetent people are at self-government, the more they demand to govern you.
