Another Big Weasel Moment

The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted a raid on the headquarters of Baltimore’s “Safe Streets” program on Thursday reportedly on allegations that the taxpayer-funded community program is somehow mixed up with the very gang members they are supposed to be keeping in check. The raid sent local Democrats in the city running for cover after so much of the city’s tax money has been plunged into the program that was initially meant to help quell street violence but has become an albatross for many over its lack of transparency and accountability. Ditto for lining up to hand power back over to a known criminal who ripped off her least fortunate constituents for personal material gain. To paraphrase Dean Wormer, ignorant, “entitled,” and stupid is no way to go through life.

And no, the catastrophic failures are not because of funding inequalities, in spite of what the communist teachers’ union “leaders” and their lying and/or useful idiot members would have a critical mass of the uninformed believe. Baltimore spends >$21K per capita and is the fourth most funded large school system in the country.

A former Baltimore City police officer was indicted on child sex crimes… Larry Tucker, 56, is facing 16 sexual offense counts, including nine felony counts of sex abuse with a minor… In an indictment issued by a Baltimore City Grand Jury, Tucker was also charged with two felony counts of sexual solicitation of a minor, along with felony child pornography, and conspiracy to commit sexual offense charges.
