Excusing the Inexcusable

And the consequence is it is technically true that a judge like Karen, Judge Karen Immergut from Oregon is technically a Trump appointee to the federal bench. But the reason why she’s a Trump appointee to the federal bench is because the only way to get that seat filled was the two Democrat senators from Oregon had to sign off on her nomination because they were never going to sign off on anyone that’s a conservative. That’s the reality on it. So when you read in the press that another Trump appointee in these anti-gun, anti-American blue states has ruled against Donald Trump, don’t be duped. [Watch]

Anybody see any movement from Trump and Republican senators to explain and try to change that, or are we just supposed to accept that tyranny and treason-enabling “blue slips” are prioritized over the prime directives in the Preamble by the Uniparty’s entrenched political class, and that A-raters will vote for cloture and then for confirmation, no one will be held accountable, and apologists will tell us there’s nothing we can do about it?

Who got her on the president’s radar and then championed her for nomination, especially since Democratic Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley were OK with her? I have Constitutional concerns about overreach, too, but this is different.

If a judge has personal skin in the game that makes impartiality impossible, isn’t he supposed to recuse himself?

Senior District Judge Charles R. Breyer, in violation of his oath of office, did knowingly and willfully use his judicial position to advance political gain while interfering with the President’s constitutional prerogatives and enforcement of the rule of law.

Why doesn’t this “news” story, affecting voter perception, mention that?

Do any?

And what’s in it for Democrats to let violence and chaos reign?

That’s great, being lectured on 2A by a gun-grabber who thinks he’s found a “Gotcha!”

Except the National Guard is not that militia. Never was.

As the Subcommittee on the Constitution of the United States Senate Ninety-Seventh Congress observed:

These commentators contend instead that the amendment’s preamble regarding the necessity of a “well regulated militia… to a free state” means that the right to keep and bear arms applies only to a National Guard. Such a reading fails to note that the Framers used the term “militia” to relate to every citizen capable of bearing arms, and that Congress has established the present National Guard under its power to raise armies, expressly stating that it was not doing so under its power to organize and arm the militia.

He’s just counting on younger people not remembering the old lies.
