The Bluest Lies You’ve Ever Heard in Seattle

Over 100 Rounds Fired During Weekend Shooting In Seattle [More]

So, “Universal background checks, Partial minimum age laws, Extreme risk protection orders, Domestic violence gun laws, Ban on sale of assault weapons,
Certain waiting period laws, Child access prevention laws, Extended background check periods, State database background checks for handguns
a Ghost gun law, acLarge capacity magazine ban, Lost and stolen firearm reporting, Sensitive location restrictions, and a Victim’s Access to Justice Law” aren’t working.

We need more!

Franklin or Arnold?

“He and I call ourselves the Ben Franklin Caucus,” said Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Oregon)… [More]

So, Giffords-endorsee Ron likens himself to a champion of liberty who endorsed “an improvement, in the use of Small Armes, wherein a common small arm, may be maid to discharge eight balls one after another, in eight, five or three seconds of time”…?

Why… “the Framers could have never imagined…”

As someone who has been hopeful for your political career from early on, I urge you to be careful who you ally yourself with, Sen. Paul. Some of us get and share your concerns about doing an end run around Congress. Now, by vocally opposing it and forming an alliance with the Marxists, it’s on you to explain how all the things enacted by ther Uniparty that Trump is undoing were within their legitimate Constitutionally-delegated powers to impose in the first place, and whether or not your libertarian-minded principles are leading you –and all of us –down a chute where a horrible ending is planned.

All one needs do is look at this MSN article to realize the Democrats are using you.

If you really want to see things go “extra-Constitutional,” keep siding with those backing normal Americans into a corner. We’re at the “VLLA SELLA” stage, and you ought to know that. Its time to choose a chair.

Back Monday

I have to go out of state for a few days.

Please hold off on email tips. Comment moderation will be delayed until I return.

UPDATE

But before I go, I just got these in the mail:

The April issue of Firearms News and the May/June issue of American Handgunner are out, both featuring articles by yours truly, and both available at diverse and inclusive newsstands throughout the Republic.

  • FN: Will Present Legal Arguments Undermine Future Efforts to Restore Second Amendment? (p. 12)
  • AH: ‘Gun Owners for Trump’ Should be More than Campaign Window Dressing (p.73). This is my first piece for them, and they’ve asked me back.

Slow Going Ahead

I’ll be leaving at first light on Thursday for an out of state funeral. Among other things, that means I won’t be posting news tips until next week, so please hold off on them. Comments received after tomorrow will have to wait several days to be approved.

I’m going to limit posting here on Wednesday to publicizing an article, assuming Ammoland posts it before I leave. Otherwise I’m spending the day working on a new piece.

DOJ Investigation into California Gun Law Patterns and Practices Should be Expanded

A new request for DOJ investigation has been filed detailing Second Amendment and civil rights violations inherent in Illinois’ Firearms Owner Identification card (FOID) requirement. [More]

They showed deliberate indifference to the first civil rights complaint. Perhaps an adjusted attitude will allow them to consider this one.

Guns for Me But Not for Thee

Cory Booker staffer arrested for carrying gun on Capitol grounds as senator holds floor for more than 19 hours…“Senator Booker’s office employs a retired Newark police detective as a New Jersey-based driver who often accompanies him to events.” [More]

So, Gunsense Cory, who wants to disarm you, employs an illegally armed bodyguard…? And grinning idiots are fine with that?

Hypocrite

Friends of the Court vs. Friends of the Devil

Attorney General McCuskey leads SCOTUS amicus brief challenging D.C.’s high-capacity magazine and assault weapons ban [More]

This…

And significantly better than and different from a case we discussed yesterday:

III.Courts Are Incorrectly Analogizing …11

A.The Second Amendment Goes Beyond The Individual Right To Self-Defense … 12

B.Narrowing Heller To Only Self-Defense Leads To Poor Analogical Reasoning … 15

Ignoring Core Purpose Makes 2nd Amendment More Vulnerable to Infringements: The Militia Aspect, Part 1 and Part 2.

The only question left: Why can’t Pam Bondi file an amicus brief supporting this?

Like a Poll Tax for Guns

SAF and its partners contend that the state’s 6.5% excise tax on the retail sale of any firearm, firearm precursor part, or ammunition is unconstitutional in that it impermissibly singles out the exercise of a constitutional right for special taxation. [More]

Absolutely right.

Now go after what NSSF “celebrates.”

The Right Way and the Wrong Way

“The way they’re pulling up with masks on, with unmarked vehicles, no badge, no nothing. It could be anybody. It can be gang members. You have every right to shoot at them,” he continued. “This would be the best self-defense case. You’re just in fear for your life. You don’t know who’s behind that unmarked vehicle or who’s behind that mask.” [More]

He’s kinda got a point.

A Stern Warning

Germany’s Stern Magazine Calls For Conscription Of Young People To Take Up Arms “To Defend Diversity” In Pro-War Propaganda Piece [More]

That’s an easy call for self-interested establishment flacks who won’t have to go themselves.

Who feels obligated to expend treasure and young American lives for these maniacs?

Because we are.

And if they keep screwing things up over there, expect the draft boards here to reactivate.

Washington shakes his head.
