Disgusting. Inexcusable. Shameful. This is what Democrats reduce once-great cities and cultures to. And rather than being thrown out and prosecuted for criminal negligence, those responsible are secured to advance themselves politically.
Anybody see anything or anyone worth fighting and dying for?
That’s part of the plan.
That Mr. Adams, him plenty smart fella.
Funny, how we who try to live up to that are designated the enemy by the destroyers.

Gun Owners of America has learned that the FIRST gun bill that House Republicans plan to vote on is… NOT a pro-gun bill. The bill would expand the FBI’s power to punish Americans who attempt to legally purchase a firearm from a commercial gun dealer by reporting them to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. [More]
My new rep and one of my senators are enemies, so no use writing them.
It really seems to me a more effective tactic would be an en masse “WTF?” blast to Kevin McCarthy.

The US Supreme Court not only decided not to look at the Brunson brothers’ case, but also decided not to take up the Bonner case challenging the legality of mail-in ballots. [More]
Well, that was utterly predictable.
This is what happens when you hire someone without adequately interviewing them:
Think of one job you’ve ever applied for where you’d have gotten it if you decided to play coy with the hiring managers. While it may be “inappropriate” for a judge to weigh in on a specific case before confirmation, there’s no reason why general principles of understanding should be off-limits.
As things stand, all SCOTUS has to do to let illegitimate elections reign is… nothing.

What Exactly is Legal Standing? And What Does It Mean in Gun Control Litigation? [Watch]
The tyrants know that if you have to get arrested first in order to file a challenge, most people with families, property, and jobs to lose will pass.
Shame, that, right, Mr. Kennedy?

Today, January 9th, the Colorado Legislature begins the 2023 legislative session. As in 2022, the Legislature can expect to see both pro and anti-gun bills introduced this year. Anti-gun lawmakers have drafted their gun control package bill, falsely titled the “Mass Shooting Prevention Act of 2023.” The draft bans many commonly used firearms Americans choose to defend themselves and their families with. Proponents, however, fail to explain how disarming law-abiding citizens will keep them safe from criminals who do not obey the law. Please use the link below to contact your legislators asking them to please vote NO on gun control. [More]
Yeah, that’ll be persuasive with subversive totalitarians who want to completely disarm and enslave you. Why not send them a picture of a limp d!ck so they really respect an alternative point of view?
Looks like this came out a couple of days too soon, but then again, adding more demands and restrictions is what the freedom haters are all about.
UPDATE
The bill defines assault weapons so broadly that it would ban almost all semi-automatic weapons. It would ban almost every handgun used in self-defense and concealed carry. It would ban almost every rifle used for home protection or competition shooting. No more Glocks, AR-15s, or shotguns with a magazine and those are just a few of the many guns this bill could ban. [More]
Yeah, I’ll be saying “please” to those evil m***********s.
UPDATE

It includes an embed of the bill.

That, Shannon, is how you fight like a mother.
Bernie, who is a radio contributor and analyst for the Browns, took the high road as he apologized to the organization for putting them in a tough spot, during his Monday night podcast… But he’s standing by his statement that he placed the bet for charity and didn’t think it would be an issue because he says he’s not an employee but an independent contractor with the team. [More]
And for that, the woke front office cowards presuming to hold themselves up as the paragons of ethics summarily and rudely discarded a man who has given them a lifetime of loyalty, saying his “services are no longer desired or needed.” This from a team management that played fast and loose with the draft rules to get Kosar when his services were desired and needed.
Meanwhile, “former NFL player turned broadcaster Jon Vilma … said that this country needs more gun laws. Many were surprised that Vilma went there during an NFL broadcast” and nobody in the league protested that he abused his venue access privileges to attack the rights of his countrymen. And this is a guy who was only suspended for his role in a “pay-for-performance/bounty program that endangered player safety over three seasons.”
I should say Vilma’s Saints bounty scandal — you know, the same team where guns are being stolen from parked cars. Right, moron, the country needs more gun laws.

I’m wondering at what point a judge is going to start sanctioning state defendants for clearly engaging in deliberate defiance and delays, and making it personal.

The concern involves instances when a judge reverses a jury’s criminal conviction after naming themselves the 13th juror and then filing a motion for a new trial. The judge isn’t required to provide much explanation other than they believe the jury got it wrong based on errors made during the trial. [More]
Just don’t try the good kind.
US appeals court blocks ban on rapid-fire ‘bump stocks’ [More]
I’m looking into what this means for my case and plan on drafting something up soon.
In the meantime, seeing as how AP is telling everybody “The ban was instituted after a gunman perched in a high-rise hotel using bump stock-equipped weapons massacred dozens of people in Las Vegas in 2017,” I’m wondering what they know that the government evidently doesn’t.

Been looking at Neighborhood Scout again, have we?
So when the grabbers talk about owning a gun being more dangerous than not owning one, first of all, they’re talking about people who don’t actually own them, and second, if you’re not a scumbag criminal loser, their “statistics” don’t apply to you…? Including women…?
