Same as it ever was.
You can’t have a violence monopoly without doing both.

It looks like everybody’s members are covered, just like FPC’s.
Anybody up on what’s going on with NRA’s action?
UPDATE
Here’s the GOA Order:
Regardless of the recent changes in Minnesota law related to marijuana, an individual who is a current user of marijuana is prohibited from shipping, transporting, receiving, or possessing firearms or ammunition. [More]
It’s not like the prohibition affects anyone important.
Besides, Fudd Sense Candidate Tim Walz is fine with that.

DEADLINE- ATF’s Pistol Brace “Compliance Period” Ending May 31, 2023 [More]
Reeves & Dola, LLP gives owners the hard facts on what’s being imposed.
As an aside, I had to copy and paste this into my WarOnGuns Placeholder site from their email. I wanted to link to their “Alerts” page, but I’m getting a “Site Not Found” notice. Hopefully, that will be cleared up soon.

Len Savage sent ATF parts of an unassembled firearm, ATF returned a completed gun. [More]
Is it paranoia if they’re really out to get you?
Today, the U.S. Supreme Court in Sackett v EPA issued a major ruling cutting back on the authority of the EPA and by extension all federal executive branch agencies such as the ATF to enact laws via regulations. The Sackett opinion contains powerful language that can likely be used against the ATF in various contexts including in the ongoing legal fights over the bump stock ban and the pistol brace rules. Mark Smith breaks it down. [Watch]
If you think about it, this is also a powerful argument against the phony “single issue” deflection.
It’s all related. That’s because it’s not about guns, it’s about freedom.

And from Gun Owners of America, via email alert:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 23, 2023
Washington, D.C. — Gun Owners of America (GOA) issued the following statements after the 5th Circuit Court partially enjoined the Biden Pistol Brace Ban this morning. GOA and the Gun Owners Foundation (GOF) had filed an amicus brief in Mock v. Garland, as well as filed their own challenge to the rule in conjunction with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in a different federal court.
“This is an encouraging step from the Fifth Circuit, and we hope that the judge in our own case will see this ruling and in turn grant a more robust injunction to relief the millions of Americans nationwide who may soon be in legal jeopardy,” said Erich Pratt, GOA’s Senior VP. “This is just the latest attempt by the Biden Administration to weaponize federal agencies against the American people, and we will continue to stand in the way in defense of our rights.”
“This injunction is welcome news, but due to it’s limited nature, we still need Congress to act before the June 1st deadline,” said Aidan Johnsotn, GOA’s Director of Federal Affairs. “189 Representatives and 47 Senators have already signed on, and we urge the Speaker to put this on the floor for a vote and force Democrats in both chambers to vote on whether to make their constituents felons overnight.”
GOA spokesmen are available for interviews. Gun Owners of America is a nonprofit grassroots lobbying organization dedicated to protecting the right to keep and bear arms without compromise. GOA represents over two million members and activists. For more information, visit GOA’s Press Center.

“Everybody knows that the work they’re doing is vital in completing the firearm trace, and that might be the one piece of information that solves the violent firearm crime.” [Watch]
All that money they’re spending, I’m wondering how many violent crimes have been solved where the credit can go to that “one piece of information”…
And in the spirit of the government’s “If you see something, say something” advice, all those boxes stacked in hallways makes me wonder if they pose a workplace safety hazard and if the Martinsburg Fire Marshal needs to do an inspection…

The ATF jackboots have lost tens of thousands of guns, stolen millions of dollars, burned dozens of innocent women & children, shot the dogs, and exist as a tool to infringe on your rights. Put an end to their tyranny. Support the Abolish the ATF Act at http://FPCAction.org. [More]
All true, but we first need to abolish the edicts they enforce and impose, otherwise this is just kicking the can. And in any case, without the Senate and the White House, this stands no chance of passing, so the energy and resources being spent on this would be better applied to actual achievable goals.
The question now becomes “What orders wouldn’t they follow?”
I see some approvingly saying “This is how you talk to them.”
Me, I hope ignoring the prime directive doesn’t get him in trouble, particularly if “No, I didn’t do anything wrong” (2:34) comes back to haunt him.

COURT DOCS: ATF staffer admits to passing confidential records to gun rights groups [More]
This is what happens when the ones who want to do the right thing don’t get whistleblower protection, and why Mike and I were so adamant about not trusting Holder’s DOJ but instead pressed Senate Judiciary and House Oversight to do the right thing, even if only for political reasons of their own.
It’s why I’m going to Oversight again on the Secret Service/Hunter Biden allegations. This time, on my own and with no insiders to bring in, I’m afraid it’s proving even more of an uphill battle.
So which “gun rights group” was it he was feeding information to? If it were me, I’d be out there banging pots and pans and defending him. Let’s hope someone can assure us he’s not being left hanging out there to dry.

In light of the Bruen decision, where “text, history, and tradition” of the Second Amendment at the time it was written is what informs us as to what the Founders understood the right to protect, I couldn’t turn to the Borchardt – that would play right into the hands of the gun prohibitionists, who, unable to identify Founding-Era infringements have tried turning to later laws, including post-Civil War edicts intended to keep freed blacks disarmed. [More]
Looking back even further in time, we find plenty of examples from the time the Bill of Rights was ratified proving the people of the Founding Era included pistols with shoulder stocks into the broader category of “arms.”
