An anecdote: When I was running legal for Bloomberg News, one of our reporters in D.C. discovered that the ATF screwed up on a gun-running sting that resulted in providing a weapon used to murder a U.S. border security officer. He had it before anyone else. [More]
Yeah? Who was the reporter?

The conflict reached a takedown point when a CNN employee, Donie O’Sullivan, confronted a member of the new media with the charge those individuals are not “real journalists,” and demanded a response. [More]
Knowing better than to waste my time letting CNN lie to me, I’d never even heard of this Irish pudge until a week or so ago.
Do we really want to talk about “Authorized Journalists“?
Fourth Estate Fifth Columnists? The DSM?
How about “real reporters“?
Most “pros” chose a college major that didn’t require math and science, and a career that didn’t require real-world subject matter experience.

That’s an easy call for self-interested establishment flacks who won’t have to go themselves.
Who feels obligated to expend treasure and young American lives for these maniacs?
Because we are.
And if they keep screwing things up over there, expect the draft boards here to reactivate.

Most Americans Can’t Answer These Simple Gun Law Questions [More]
Including, evidently, the author:
12. Question: Bump stocks are frequently in the news. Are they legal? Answer: No. While bump stocks are still found in the wild, they have been federally banned since 2018. The popularity of this weapon enhancement enables a semiautomatic rifle to fire rapidly, and its use has been under a microscope after being used in several mass shootings in recent years.
Yeah, what’s this?

And “several”? Source? Y0u’re sure?
I typically don’t link to these MSN slide shows because they’re basically bait to get you to click on a dozen pages when all the content really calls for is one. That, and I found other “answers” less than correct and complete.

Journo Bumps Trump with Boom Mic — What was That All About?… Indeed, why didn’t the secret service take any action? How could they be sure that the incident was innocuous? [More]
From my own experience with the Secret Service at Trump media events:
The day of the event, the press was instructed to meet at one end of the huge complex to check in, pick up badges, and for those bringing in cameras and gear, preset equipment, which the Secret Service would check.
What I don’t know is everything protocol requires the equipment to be inspected for.
