We’re the Only Ones Confiscating Enough

In a letter provided to AmmoLand News from Gun Owners of America (GOA), dated August 31, 2022, Inspector Hugh Bogle of the New York Police Department (NYPD) informed business owners with an active business, limited carry, special carry, or carry business license that their business might now be in a “sensitive area” and were informed to bring their guns to the police station so that the guns can be “safeguarded,” or remove them from the location. [More]

What does registration lead to again…?

But no one’s talking about taking your guns, you paranoids!

New York, New York, It’s a Wonderful Town

Ax-wielding madman runs amok in NYC McDonald’s — and nobody was lovin’ it [More]

They’d better get busy expanding those “sensitive zones“…

UPDATE

Should’a seen this coming:

That NYC psycho who smashed up a McD’s and threatened a bunch of people with an axe? Yeah, he was released without bail.

All of Them?

Over 100 GOP Reps. Sign Letter to Credit Card CEOs: Which Gun Sales Do You Plan to Flag? [More]

My guess is they’ll play it on the risk management CYA side and not want to be accused of being negligent for NOT reporting someone who later creates a liability. That, and politically powerful tyrant wannabes will be putting on the squeeze.

It’s typical Opposite Day “progressivism,” really– they bow to an ISO category “standard” with no clearly defined and legally supportable standards for snitch triggers.

We’re the Only Ones SWATTED Enough

What should you do if you used a credit card to make a gun shop purchase and the feds come knocking at your door asking to see your hardware? You should ask to see their search warrant. They won’t have one, in which case you should politely say, “Have a good day” and close and lock your door. Then call your local police and report unwanted knocking on your door by an armed stranger. [More]

As fun as that sounds, I’m not sure I’d follow his advice. In the Delaware case, they came with a state trooper plus they showed badges, and “Only Ones” generally (admittedly not always) back each other up. If I were to do as he suggests, I’d make sure to add that they say they are law enforcement but do not have a warrant. And if I did call, it would probably be to the sheriff.

A Historical Understanding

A witty and informative email reply by attorney Donald Kilmer to a  discussion on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors banning .50-caliber handguns:

As long the ban doesn’t exceed the .64 caliber U.S. issued smoothbore flintlock boarding pistol, we have nothing to worry about. Maybe the Board of Sups should read a little history.

Thanks to ‘Commonsense Gun Safety Laws’

So is this what the insulated UC Davis Fauciette was referring to when she assured everyone that the real problem was “structural racism”?

Adams Identifies High-Value Enemies List Targets

It is a travesty that we know the places where our citizens were murdered, but not the names of the CEOs who approved the marketing of the weapons that were used to kill them. [More]

Look for incidents like this and worse. If it’s much worse, mob-inciter Eric Adams could have blood on his hands.

Now that they have personal skin in the game, will we see any CEOs cut New York City off?

And any word on Tucker coming around?

So the Problem is ‘Structural Racism’

New UC-Davis Study: Gun Violence Increased Substantial In Pandemic’s Early Months [Watch]

It’s actually more about ERPOs, and I can see why comments are turned off.  This irritating leftwing (but I repeat myself) UC Davis agenda “researcher” believes her own talking point s*** as the newsprops nod in solemn agreement.

Is it just me or is anyone else getting a Fauci-in-a-wig vibe?

One Small Step

Ohio House Bill 99 Goes into Effect; Teachers Can Now Carry Firearms to ‘Try and Protect Our Kids’ [More]

There’s a lot of happy talk here to give cover to the obvious:  DeWine signed this because he had to, but still backdoor badmouthed it, and Democrat-dominated school boards can still nix the idea:

“It is important to emphasize that the bill does not mandate the arming of school staff members but leaves the decision entirely to local school boards, which have the best understanding of the needs of their individual districts.”

Sure they do, Mike. Care to elaborate on the magic qualifications urban apparatchiks have to decide whether another human being can claim his unalienable rights? Or comment on how the same ones saying “No” are also hot on indoctrinating children into all other kinds of destructive, racist, and perverted leftist nonsense?

Sure, this is an improvement. But it hardly calls for cartwheels.

Bottom line: Don’t look for any improvements in high-population areas. Most of the schools in the state will remain predator empowerment zones.

Times Square Gun-Free Zone Plans Leave the Obvious Unmentioned

Take that to mean you can’t have a permitted gun with you in a private automobile, either. The entire city is being turned into a “patchwork quilt” designed to make it impossible to travel within its limits without violating the law. [More]

By ignoring the Supreme Court’s decision with impunity, this has effectively become not just a real insurrection, but a sanctioned secession.

And So It Begins

MCS has removed firearm sales from our website. The step was taken to ensure we would not have to change our merchant code ID with our credit card processors. Transactions on our website are classified as sporting goods. [More]

What I’m wondering is why they appear to think it will only apply to online sales.

Change my mind.

Who Will Guard the Guards? Literally

Starting Wednesday, security guards assigned to four Cuyahoga County courthouses won’t be permitted to carry firearms in those buildings, according to a Tuesday sheriff’s memo … That’s because of a legal opinion recently issued by the county prosecutor’s office on a state statute against carrying firearms in courthouses. Though sheriff’s deputies are exempted under that statute, the county’s lawyers determined that protective service officers like security guards are not. [More]

Maybe we should start a pool for “How soon”…?

And, of course, if you think about it, and those with their reasons will, “it” doesn’t even have to happen inside the courthouse. There’s a gantlet all non-“Only Ones” run as soon as they leave their cars.

Maybe They Didn’t Hear Right

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Tuesday directed its attorneys to draft a series of ordinances aimed at regulating gun sales and possession in the county, including a ban on the sale of .50-caliber handguns and ammunition in unincorporated areas. Another proposed ordinance would require “buffer zones” between gun/ammunition dealers and “sensitive areas” such as schools, day care centers and parks in unincorporated areas. Another would ban the possession of firearms on all county property. [More]

It’s Always a ‘Loophole’

It shall be unlawful for a person, on or after the effective date of the revocation of a license issued to the person under this chapter to import, manufacture, or deal in firearms, or (in the case that the application of the person to renew such a license is denied) on or after the date the license expires, to …  transfer to any other person (except a person licensed under this chapter or a Federal, State, or local law enforcement agency) a firearm that was a business inventory firearm of the person as of the effective date or expiration date, as the case may be. [More]

Ah, yes, the Kick ’em While They’re Down Act.

A “1% chance of being enacted” tells me they’d love to do this if they could, but they can’t, at least not now, so be aware of this but don’t let it be a distraction from focusing attention and energy on more immediate threats.

We’re the Only Ones ‘Defunded’ Enough

Alabama sheriffs and the head of the state’s county commission association are sounding alarms about the financial implications of removing concealed carry permit revenues from their budgets. The cuts could be deep for county sheriffs and could shave off up to 50% or more from an agency’s budget within the next year. [More]

Poor babies! Similar measures wiped out the poll tax collectors industry!

Naturally, hysterical Shannon Watts is tying “shall not be infringed” in with “defund the police.”
