Sending Boys to Do a Man’s Job

Cuyahoga County offers new initiative to end gun violence, provides 2,000 youths with summer jobs [More]

Am I wrong to wonder if attempts at supervisory discipline for things as simple as insisting on being on time or doing work will result in gunshots to the face for “disprespecting”…?

Either that or the supervisor will be the more experienced criminal

I remember years ago in L.A. there was a community agitator named Danny Bakewell who ran the Brotherhood Crusade. The news did a segment on him standing with half a dozen young worthies who were part of a new youth jobs initiative he was spearheading. They not only looked universally sullen and unemployable, but made comments like “Not just any jobs. We want to be MANAGERS.” That told you right there they had no clue what a competent manager really has to do and be responsible for, and viewed it instead as somebody who sits on his @$$ and issues orders.

I wonder how many times members of that crew have been caught and released, how many are behind bars, and how many ended up “victims of gun violence .”

Point/Counterpoint

Today, Pennsylvania Gun Rights (PAGR), Firearms Owners Against Crime (FOAC), and Gun Owners of America–Pennsylvania (GOA-PA) are jointly calling for State Representative Frank Burns (D-Cambria) to immediately resign from the Pennsylvania House Second Amendment Caucus following his decisive vote to kill a Constitutional Carry amendment. [More]

Vs.

Let Me Be Absolutely Clear: I Have NEVER Voted Against Constitutional Carry. The claim that I voted against constitutional carry is 100% FALSE. I have never—and will never—vote against your Second Amendment rights. [More]

They can’t both be right.

What would the significance of overturning procedural rules be on overall 2A progress, and why does everything in politics have to be so damn laden with twists, turns, and pitfalls instead of just being straightforward and unambigouous?

That’s a rhetorical question.

And I wonder if this, this, this, and this had any bearing on his decision to make a choice on a rule that had an effect on permtiless carry…

Then again, there’s this to consider (scroll down in comments):

The PA House of Representatives’s single subject rule, as stated in the Pennsylvania Constitution, requires that bills passed by the House must only contain one subject, which is clearly expressed in the title. This rule, found in Article III, Section 3, aims to ensure legislative clarity and prevent “logrolling” or the inclusion of unrelated provisions in a single bill… The Pennsylvania Constitution’s “single subject rule” is found in Article III, Section 3. Here’s the full text:
Article III, Section 3 – Passage of Laws
“No bill shall be passed containing more than one subject, which shall be clearly expressed in its title, except a general appropriation bill or a bill codifying or compiling the law or a part thereof.”

Bottom line, armed citizens are out there. A lot of them. Law enforcement needs to understand this and be prepared to handle encounters respectfully and professionally. [More]

It’s bad enough when we’re behaving legally and they’re not. Add in jokes and threats about killing us, and that’s intolerable.

Checkmate?

If somebody builds a too-powerful AI, under present conditions, I expect that every single member of the human species and all biological life on Earth dies shortly thereafter. [More]

Good luck getting governments to cooperate instead of racing for advantage. We must not allow a mine shaft gap!

This is literal insanity– we’re talking the same legal system that said guns could be banned in national parks because there hadn’t been an environmental impact study.

So, are we supposed to trust that God won’t let this happen, or does God intend for us to have a role to play?

South of the Border, Down Mexico Way

Two top officials in Mexico City died at the hands of a team of gunmen in a crime that shook the highest levels of that country’s government. The targeted killing comes just days after a group of gunmen in Jalisco State shot and killed two police instructors with ties to the U.S. Department of State. [More]

Silent Runnings

  • Newsom lies (SOP): No on “snuck” anything, all the gun groups and “gunfluencers” have been banging pots and pans to light up legislator switchboards. And he’s talking about cutting off illegal immigrants from tax plunder healthcare, and coming from him that’s rich.
  • Why not DIY?
  • More “Party of the People” discriminating against the least fortunate among us — and tell us out of control government spending and issuing fraudulent fiat currency has devalued the dollar without telling us out of control government spending and issuing fraudulent fiat currency has devalued the dollar.

More on the Moron

Now watch brainless “progressive” women make him their next 🤩Luigi🤩.

I like the way these cowardly communist stool samples (who started blocking replies after they were getting ratioed) are trying to distance themselves using the Bart Simpson excuse. A portion of blame for adding fuel to the fire also belongs to David Hogg’s “Leaders We Deserve,” because their new radical young Democrats march in lockstep with Hamas.

Always Carry A Gun To The Gym | Las Vegas Shootings [Watch]

Why? Don’t violent maniacs obey the rules? (To be fair, I could not find if Las Vegas Athletic Clubs are “Gun-Free Zones.”)

Every time someone justifies being defenseless with the excuse “that never happens here,” I recall Sharon Tate lived in a pretty safe neighborhood.

Speaking of “safe neighborhoods,” while looking around for stuff to add, I came across this comnent by “Pedro Zapata”:

Do you notice this only happens in the US

Faith Leaders Speak Out on Militia Extremists

St. Thomas Aquinas (1225–1274) and the more radical Spanish Second Scholastics, including the Spanish Jesuits, Juan de Mariana and Francisco Súarez, asserted the right of revolution against tyrannical governments. These writers also wrote that standing armies were inconsistent with free governments, and that citizen militias were essential to protect the Natural Rights of the people and prevent usurpation by either kings or even elected bodies. These writings percolated from the Catholic world and in time found a home with Protestant leaders ushering in the Reformation. [More]

This can’t be true because I don’t see anything about it on CNN, the Big 3 networks, or in any of the major papers.
