Those who hate men and throw around terms like “toxic masculinity” to smear those with chests have it backwards– this is the poison. And it seems to be what young “liberal” American women want, at least until reality pulls out a meat fork.

Those who would disarm us demand a nation of geldings. Those who accommodate them without defiance and resistance are no countrymen of mine.

DOJ to Illinois Gun Owners: Write Your Democrat Legislators to Repeal Infringements

Points brought to the DOJ’s attention in the FOID card complaint:

  • The reason for the law was to dissuade minorities (specifically African Americans during a time of racial riots/unrest and distrust amongst racial groups and law enforcement) from seeking police permission to legally own firearms.
  • Funding for FOID cards and carry licenses is used now as a “piggy bank” by the IL General Assembly to fund other projects, leading to delays in processing (with a documented case of a 20-month wait).
  • A woman with no criminal record was charged with a crime for possessing a single-shot rifle in her home without a FOID.

And, of course, the government punted.

Well, now that DOJ has announced it’s new Second Amendment Rights Section, the complaint has been resubmitted to see if it gets different results this time around.

My prediction is they’re still using the same soft soap.

A False Argument

As seen in reader comment at Fox News:

That’s a narrative defenders of the indefensible are using, and it’s bull$#!+. Files weren’t released under Biden because it’s a Mutually Assured Destruction pact where top Democrats — and donors/cronies both parties are beholden to — would also be exposed.

The Democrats screaming loudest for full release are the new radicals out to replace the Old Guard, who stand to benefit by unseating tenured rivals.

This reminds me of nothing so much as this.

Democrats and the media smell blood and they’re going for it. As far as the mid-terms go:

It’s Christmas week and I’ve got a lot of family stuff to do. Please hold off on news tips.

I’ll still be doing some posting, mostly today and Friday, and I’ll probably get to some, but I don’t want anyone to feel like their contributions are ignored and unappreciated– it’s just that I can’t promise I’ll be able to do anything with them.
