I’m Back

Kind of. I had an article to finish after my conference call yesterday and I’m just now getting back to WarOnGuns.

Folks, I’ve probably got a hundred email tips and I won’t even have time to read most of the sent links let alone do anything about them. Sorry, contributors. It doesn’t mean I’m an ungrateful bastoid, it just means there’s only one of me and priorities come first.

I’m going to start back in today with some posts I’ve found by my own self and then get to what I can.

Then, as Scarlett always says:

Allred/All Blue?

Allred set to launch Texas Senate run against Cruz [More]

How is he on guns?

How do you think?

The “Californiaing” of Texas won’t help either, especially since:

“The people coming to Texas are on the younger side. And young people, on average, have more progressive views on a number of social issues.”

This guy looks more dangerous than Beto and it looks from voter data like Cruz is going to be in for the political fight of his life. On the whole, women, “progressives,” and minorities will be Allred’s for the taking. And out-of-state Bloombergians, celebrities, and Silicon Valley tech lords are licking their chops and ready to pour in gazillions.

So, what’s the counter-plan?

Democrats Focus on the Gun Rather than A Weak Border After Texas Executions

Another logical question, considering the suspect has repeatedly been described as “Mexican,” that is, a foreign national, would be “Is he an illegal alien, or if not, what is his immigration status?” That’s because ATF includes among its categories of people prohibited from possessing a gun and ammunition: “a person who … Is an alien illegally or unlawfully in the United States or an alien admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa;” [More]

Forget that he’s an illegal deported multiple times and forbidden by law to have a gun. The grabtards are screaming “Ban assault weapons!” and blaming NRA.

Time Bandits

Concord High School in Northern California is under pressure to give up its “Minutemen” mascot, reports Stephanie Magallon for NBC Bay Area. [More]

Forget those who cannot remember the past, they’re being ordered to forget it. The power to erase history is the power to direct the present and alter the future.

Totalitarians demand controlling infinity and eternity. It’s why they hate God.

Casting a Wider Net

The Supreme Court said Monday it will hear a case that takes aim at federal agencies’ power and the amount of deference courts are required to show to an administration’s decisions. [More]

“What do fish have to with bump stocks and other ‘rules’?” you might ask…

Spitting on the Memory of Lexington and Concord

You can’t buy either a gun or ammunition anywhere in Sudbury, and one town resident wants to make sure it stays that way. An article brought through petition by resident Frank Riepe for consideration at spring Town Meeting would effectively ban the sale and manufacturing of guns and ammunition by changing the zoning code. [More]

I see the Tories are back.

The right to buy and sell is essential. Without it, there can be no keeping and bearing.

I checked the Masshole’s Facebook. He’s into Al Jazeera, the Brady Campaign, and Rachel Maddow.

It’s Ba…ack

Legislative preparations are underway to establish a U.S. government-backed task force to create a digital identity for all Americans. [More]

It’s being resurrected because the House and Senate versions died in the last Congress.

The Senate’s a lost cause unless it can be wrested from the Dems, so the House is what needs to be watched, and if it looks like it’s getting legs, pressured.

‘Cause’ and Effect

Firearms overtook auto accidents as the leading cause of death in children [More]

See how the sneaky bastards word it? “Auto ACCIDENTS,” but just plain “firearms,” not “firearms ABUSE.” And I’ve heard even with that the numbers are wrong.

About what we’d expect from NPR

On top of that, how many of those “children” are hardened adolescent urban predators instead of what even Google recognizes the common understanding to be?

Take Bloomberg/Democrat enclaves out of the equation and then let’s do some comparisons.

Don’t Everybody Answer at Once

Some family members showed up Wednesday night hoping for answers to their questions, including the most pressing one — with 376 law enforcement officers at the school May 24, why did it take them more than 70 minutes to confront and kill the gunman? [More]

Horshack looks like he’s gonna bust.

More Blood on NRA Hands

Eleven people were hurt, including nine by gunfire, at a late night party at a South Carolina park, authorities said Saturday. [More]

It’s curious that in this day of everyone having cell phone cameras, I can’t seem to find news accounts with pictures…

I wonder if this report naming Miquise and Ty’Quan as persons of interest may hold a clue as to why.

We’re the Only Ones Priced Out Enough

Lansing police officer charged in ‘price switching’ scheme at Meijer stores [More]

You gotta wonder how dumb somebody must be to risk a career, a pension plan that most private sector tax chumps can’t get, and their reputation and freedom over something like this.

Then again, I never had much in common with Meijer customers.

Life Imitates Art

By not ruling on it the judge is putting us in limbo, making us choose between going to synagogue and leaving our pistols at home, or carrying a pistol but not going to pray. The law bans carrying a firearms in houses of worship and religious observation. This law is outrageous, and it makes us pick between engaging in religious observation or exercising our second amendment right. [More]

Making Jews choose between one or the other. Where have we seen that before?

The plea for help comes from these guys. And they ask to make checks payable to these guys.

I confess to not being familiar with these folks. In my copious free time, I’ll see what I can find out. In the meantime, if you have relevant knowledge, feel free to educate the rest of us in “Comments.”

A ‘Progressive’ Paradox

MSNBC Legal Analyst: It’s a ‘Disservice’ to Cross-Examine Trump Rape Accuser [More]

That’s because “justice” demands due process be … uh … trumped by #BelieveWomen.

And it’s a hate crime to not acknowledge trans “women” — or those who just identify as such — as real women.

Which means we have to #BelieveBiologicalMales, of which Trump is one?
