Actually, it’s not that he doesn’t want to. It’s just that they’re frustrated he can’t satisfy them and are complaining to the neighbors about it.

Governor Walz, DFL Leaders Release Proposal for Special Session on Guns, School Safety [More]
Here’s what they’re going for this time:
a. Assault weapons and high-capacity magazines ban b. Binary trigger ban c. Eliminate the ghost gun loophole d. Strengthen Extreme Risk Protection Orders, including increased funding for public outreach and education e. Expand school safety funding f. Increase funding for mental health treatment g. Strengthen prohibitions against domestic abusers to ensure they do not have access to firearms (HF 391) h. Increase criminal penalties for violent offenses committed with a firearm and increase criminal penalties for impersonating a police officer i. Increase funding to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension’s Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Team
And no, of course that won’t be all once they get these passed.
And just to drive the point home:

With Tampon Timmy, it’s more like Toxic Shock.
Leave it to congenital sanctimonious hoplophobe Francis the Talking Mule to opine on what terrifies men.
And isn’t it hilarious that the strongest opposition to SMART training is coming from their hard core “members”true believers”?
Perhaps it’s the fact that Republicans would offer their own proposals to address the shooting, including this one: “Repeal or amend the Democrats’ prohibition on doctors using their best medical judgment, instead of leaving their hands tied with political decisions made by the Democrat trifecta.” [More]
Everywhere these people rule, catastrophe follows.

Walz to call special session on gun control, propose assault weapons ban [More]
What lies must he have told NRA to get its endorsement? Apparently he didn’t have to, since his “unwavering pro-gun support” was based on “sportsmen” and “rich hunting heritage.”

Walz says Minnesota should consider banning guns at State Capitol, in wake of shootings [More]
Because of the guy who said he was doing the Tampon Man’s bidding?
And for everybody, or just for his employers?

In short, Boelter is just a wacko. His letter is a testament to his fractured mind, not a manifesto of political grievance. The media’s rush to blame conservatives and the governor’s passive complicity in allowing false narratives to spread are failures that demand scrutiny. The truth matters, and in this case, it exposes a grotesque distortion of reality by those eager to score political points amid a horrific crime. [More]
Not that reality stops other wackos.

You know, the Greatest Threat…
I suspected the Tim Walz appointment might not mean what hopefuls were thinking and felt the need to clarify that regardless, he wasn’t on “our side.”

Yeah? Then why are comments turned off and you don’t show the size of the “crowd”?

Vs.
Anyone blindly believing this, is retarded. [More]
I agree.
What about people who blindly discourage investigating such a serious criminal accusation leveled against a powerful politician?
It’s no secret I could not be more against Walz. I think if he and Kamala are elected it’s an existential threat to peaceable means of redress for Second Amendment advocates. With that being said, I thought Community Notes existed for just such posts as these.
I understand not dignifying a “Have you stopped beating your wife?” loaded question and helping draw attention to it. Still, this has the potential to impact election results, and if I don’t object to them doing this to Walz I can’t object to them doing this to anyone, including me.
As a proponent of “Red Flag Laws,” Walz is all for you and me having to prove OUR innocence if accused of something the government will disarm us over without being convicted of anything. But that still doesn’t make it right for anyone to demand he prove HIS innocence: The burden of proving guilt is on the state.
FEC and DOJ should be the ones investigating this. If it turns out to be a malicious lie being spread in an attempt at election interference, that’s prosecutable, especially if more than one person is involved. So is if the accusations turn out to have substance.
If you see something say something, right?
Tim Walz accused of setting stage for accusation that Trump stole election – Demands that Electoral College ‘needs to go’ from Constitution and Harris elected by popular vote [More]
As always, there’s that hidden motive.
He knows an amendment scrapping Article II. Section 1. isn’t gonna happen, at least not yet and until they secure unchallengeable power to change the Constitution at will, but this act of political arson requires no more effort than lighting a match, and there’s a ready mob that can’t wqait to watch things burn.

JD Vance’s acceptance of prohibitionist terms, his failure to correct egregious errors and outright lies, and his avoidance of elaborating to voters on why the right to keep and bear arms is the keystone of freedom, show that when it comes to effective advocacy, Republican politicians all too often come up short. [More]
There were all kinds of missed opportunities, unnecessary concessions, and lies left unchallenged.
