Notes from the Resistance
The Constitution page on President Donald Trump’s White House website is showing a 404 error. [More]
I dunno, The Hill and MSNBC may just be playing “Gotcha” here and this is something that’ll come after immediate action priorities are taken care of. Speaking of which… You can’t deny the guy has been busy these first few days and my Firearms News editor has invited me to comment on the lack of 2A mention. I said let’s give it his first week.
When the WH site does put up a Constitution page, let’s hope they get it right this time.
How the White House Functioned With a Diminished Biden in Charge – Aides kept meetings short and controlled access, top advisers acted as go-betweens and public interactions became more scripted. The administration denied Biden has declined. [More]
Why doesn’t that make everything he has signed subject to challenge? The Constitution requires the president to approve bills, resolutions, appointments… not handler proxies.
Do you think he does his own finances? He didn’t trust vets with guns but the Dotard-in-Chief can threaten Americans with nukes?
UPDATE
I should have added “pardons.”
Both the White House and ATF have turned down multiple House Oversight inquiries into charges of ‘collusion’ with Chicago’s lawsuit against Glock [More]
Gee, when have we seen a Democrat administration stonewall House Oversight on gun-related scandals before…?
[Via Jess]
The head of the U.S. House of Representatives Oversight Committee isn’t playing games when it comes to the White House avoiding answers to questions about potential collusion with antigun groups to target GLOCK, Inc., with a frivolous lawsuit. [More]

If they were protesting the Trump verdicts, they’d be prosecuted as insurrectionists and seditious conspirators.
I wonder how many rigorously admitted foreign nationals will be taking part in the siege?

A new emergency response team will meet in person for the first time on Friday in the Roosevelt Room, where it will unveil a new protocol for responding to mass shootings and surges in community gun violence, according to plans first shared with West Wing Playbook. [More]
So will DEI Greg (what other qualifications does he have for a high-profile White House post in addition to a BA and years of trough feeding?) deploy the rapid response team where needed?
You’d think with White House backing and national media promotion he’d have more than:
Can’t wait to start ratioing the fool…

A Proclamation on Bill of Rights Day, 2023 [More]
No, of course there’s not a word about the Second Amendment and the right of the people to keep and bear arms.
As it turns out, the Biden White House relied on foreign “disinfo” activists to pressure Facebook to censor Americans. Worse, it turns out the group supposedly targeting disinformation had their facts wrong. Facebook knew it, too. [More]

I don’t think he knows what he’s doing.
Tell me Jill and the White House/Democrat inner circle covering that up isn’t election interference and seditious conspiracy.
Tangentially related, I saw a comment in re recent revelations from a “conservative” saying they didn’t care if Obama was gay, they cared about economy, defense, etc.
That’s missing the point.
Stories about Larry Sinclair were being dismissed and suppressed at a time when they could have made a real difference. Maybe.
I wonder now if the Dems admitted Joe had the intellect of a turnip how many would still vote for him over Donald Trump…

First lady Jill Biden tests positive for Covid-19 [More]
Everybody ready for the next planned mass panic with forced shots?
How many times have she and Joe caught it now? The thought strikes this may be the excuse needed to give them cover to get him out of the way.
Also note the “testing protocols that anybody who meets with the president does indeed get tested.” I wonder if that includes sniff victims.
I also wonder, with such complete monitoring, how they have absolutely no idea whose bag of coke it was that got misplaced in the White House…
“What a joke… if it wasn’t their dog he would already have been put down…” [More]

I don’t suppose Hunter would be willing to take a public polygraph test by an impartial administrator as his way of paying “the Big Guy” back for standing by him all these years…?

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Department of Justice have sent the rule surrounding pistol stabilizing devices to the White House for Presidential review. [More]

Within hours of police arresting a suspect in the fatal shooting of three University of Virginia football players, the White House called for an assault weapons ban even though the suspect was alleged to have used a handgun in the killings. [More]

The White House has officially DELETED this tweet after getting absolutely humiliated by reality check [More]
We all make mistakes, sometimes big ones. I always thought you could tell a lot about character by what we do after– admit them, apologize and join in finding and spreading the truth— or try to hide it and hope nobody notices.
Then again I’m presuming this was a mistake and not some professional liar trying to slip a fast one by for political gain.

The Second Amendment Foundation’s Investigative Journalism Project (SAF/IJP) has filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the White House, seeking copies of documents, both digital and print, “that show interactions between White House staff and members of gun control and gun safety groups.” [More]
It won’t be the first time we’ve seen leftists colluding with the government…
I haven’t seen the FOIA request itself, so don’t know how they plan on working around this:
By its terms, the FOIA applies to “the Executive Office of the President,” 5 U.S.C. § 552(f), but this term does not include either “the President’s immediate personal staff” or any part of the Executive Office of the President “whose sole function is to advise and assist the President.” Meyer v. Bush, 981 F.2d 1288, 1291 n.1 (D.C. Cir. 1993) (quoting H.R. Rep. No. 1380, 93d Cong., 2d Sess. 14 (1974)); see also, e.g., Soucie v. David, 448 F.2d 1067, 1075 (D.C. Cir. 1971). This means, among other things, that the parts of the Executive Office of the President that are known as the “White House Office” are not subject to the FOIA; certain other parts of the Executive Office of the President are.
“A document that is classified in Washington, DC, is unclassified in Florida — one could say such a thing, but it is nonsensical,” he said. “And it calls into question the good faith of anyone who would make such a claim.” [More]
Now replace “document” with “right” and “classified” with “protected.” And switch locales to “Chicago” and “Cheyenne.”
I don’t know about White House documents, but it sure seems as far as an armed citizenry goes, all government officials swearing an oath to uphold “the supreme Law of the Land” have had their standing orders for centuries.
