Enemy Inside the Gates

Everyone should read this oped by NRA member, former gun salesman and AR-15 owner DC police Officer Michael Fanone on why we need to ban the sale of weapons like the AR15 [More]

Here’s what the “Only Ones”/DSM combo Quisling says:

I’m also a card-carrying member of the National Rifle Association. [More]

Then he ought to be expelled for cause:

Association Bylaws, Article III, Sec. 11, “Involuntary Termination of Membership and Disciplinary Proceedings” states in part:

“Any individual or organization member may be suspended or expelled for good cause, including, but not limited to, any conduct which is contrary to, or in violation of the Bylaws of the Association.”

Public anti-gun advocacy is in direct conflict with Article II, Purposes and Objectives, section 1:

“To protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, especially with reference to the inalienable right of the individual American citizen guaranteed by such Constitution to acquire, possess, collect, exhibit, transport, carry, transfer ownership of, and enjoy the right to use arms, in order that the people may always be in a position to exercise their legitimate individual rights of self-preservation and defense of family, person, and property, as well as to serve effectively in the appropriate militia for the common defense of the Republic and the individual liberty of its citizens;”

Additionally, Article III, “Membership,” section 1., “Eligibility,” requires that the member “subscribes to the objectives and purposes of the Association.”

But no worries– Fairfax didn’t have the guts to do it to Michael Moore so they won’t do it here.

Your own words demonstrate you “don’t have the knowledge or maturity to understand the issues,” Willow. And the polls exploit that.

Runaway Slave

She continued, “So I’m going to go ahead and find that you are at risk to commit additional felonies and a potential risk to flee the jurisdiction.” [More]

Making an example of the black upstart who wants nothing to do with the plantation before others get the same idea, eh? That must explain the absence of outrage by the middlemen.

“Additional”…?

Did she just publicly poison the pool by saying he’s already committed the felony charges he’s on trial for?

Lawmaker of the Year

Thank you @GovTimWalz for making Minnesota a safer place to live due to new gun sense laws including ERPO and background checks on all gun purchases. It was an honor to present you with the @Everytown Lawmaker of the Year Award. You kept your promise. @MomsDemand #mnleg [More]

Yeah, about that

I don’t suppose NRA would be willing to release answers to the questionnaire this lying piece of steaming political excrement returned to get their endorsement…?

Let’s see if this is allowed to stay up— and if it is, what kind of indignant rage it will yield…

A Law Unto Themselves

Those websites above have had their intended effect by spreading this misinformation to the local news media that lap it up and just copy/paste without a single question on whether they have the legal authority to ban weapons on public streets, even if it is roped off or gated and ticketed. Those things are not exceptions in the law, nor should they be, as our right to self-defense on our taxpayer owned property should never be infringed. [More]

They reiterate the ban on the ticketing site.

Via email update, Evans tells me:

They’ve updated their festival’s website to remove any mention of guns or weapons, but it remains on their main website’s calendar page as of this moment, as well as the website of Destination Augusta which is the Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau. But at least they half-way did something.

I doubt the media will update their articles to reflect this. Gotta keep the wool pulled over the eyes of the general public.

I’ve updated my article.

Tangentially related, I saw an interesting comment over at John Crump’s YouTube video:

Earlier this year I was at Academy Sports with a friend who was purchasing a pistol. The employee made him redo the form because he couldn’t read his signature. The employee said that the ATF had recently audited them and complained about not being able to read the signatures and said that they must be legible.

I sent them this to see what’s what, and will let you know if I do or do not hear back:

Blind Leading the Blind

Mayor Tishaura O. Jones on Tuesday announced plans to ban “military-grade” weapons on city streets, including the prominent AR-15 and AK-47 model rifles. [More]

An opportunistic leftist moron elected by the ignorant who focuses on that and suppresses addressing the real issues pretty much explains why she presides over a $h!+hole city where the violence will do nothing but get worse.

Pressing Onward

The Second Amendment Foundation and its partners in a challenge of the “Final Rule” issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives redefining frames and receivers as firearms, have filed an appellee’s brief in the case, known as VanDerStok v. Garland. [More]

There’s a word for a government that can just assign itself new powers when it feels like it.

To Tell the Truth

Always take people at their word when they say what they want to disarm you. They want to kill you. They want to do bad things to you. So when you see before the United States Supreme Court in the United States v Rahimi case, statements that say we have no right to keep in bear arms, we have no right to possess firearms, we have no right to carry firearms, we have no right to use firearms to protect ourselves, you must take these words at face value. You must take them as truth that this is what the other side truly believes. We don’t have a right to self-defense we don’t have a right to guns. We have to be disarmed. Take them at their word. [Watch]

Conversely, don’t believe a word they say when they claim no one is talking about taking your guns.

[Via Jess]

Tangentially-Related:

…the reality is they’re all basically for more gun control what’s interesting is some of the briefs are actually embracing laws at the time of our founding that had racist and odious and bigoted foundations upon which they rest, and nevertheless some of the anti-gunners are embracing these… [Watch]

Disingenuously tryin g to separate the racist motivations from the act of disarmament simply means they want us all to be slaves.

Flag Down

This new initiative is called “Capture the Flag,” and it will focus on abuses and mis-application of “Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO)” statutes which have been adopted by 21 states and the District of Columbia. [More]

Their very existence is an abuse.

And there’s only one solution that nobody appears incentivized to implement.

Opportunity Knocks

“No information has come out about it. We don’t know what it’s going to entail, how we’re going to do background checks. Are we going to be doing phone checks with them? Are we going to do an online portal. They’re not giving us any information.” [More]

For some reason a line from Airplane comes to mind.

Just think of the opportunities for compliance violations… and shutting down sales altogether!

Then just think of other opportunities.
