We’re the Only Ones Qualified Enough

In 2018, then-Scott County Police Deputy Jaime Morales was partially paralyzed after he was shot in the back by then-Georgetown Police Officer Joseph Enricco during a standoff with a fugitive at a rest stop off I-75… The circuit court ruled that the officer defendants in the case were entitled to qualified immunity because, “as a society, we have decided that law enforcement officers deserve special protection.” [More]

The Treasonous Democrat Pieces of S*** in Congress Who Don’t Want to Let You Have Ammo Act of 2023

Today, Congressman Robert Garcia (CA-42), Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (FL-25) introduced the “Ammunition Modernization and Monitoring Oversight (AMMO) Act,” which would restrict bulk sales of ammunition, would require businesses who sell ammunition to obtain the same federal license as gun dealers, and would require businesses to conduct a background check on buyers. “3% chance of being enacted” by the Senate and “1%” by the House. So be aware this is one increment they’ll try for if the GOP blows ’24, but for now, there are more pressing priorities.

Showdown Coming?

The US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit heard oral argument today in Reese v. BATFE involving whether young adults have a right to acquire firearms from federal gun dealers under the Second Amendment and, relatedly, whether 18 USC 922(b)(1) is constitutional. Mark Smith Four Boxes Diner predicts that this gun control statute will be struck down and then the US DOJ will have to seek cert from the US Supreme Court. [Watch]

Today’s Five-Minute Activism

Read the story of Medal of Honor recipient Col. Ola Lee Mize. [More]

Note there are companion “bill[s] to name the community-based outpatient clinic of the Department of Veterans Affairs in Guntersville, Alabama, as the ‘Colonel Ola Lee Mize Department of Veterans Affairs Clinic.’”

H.R. 5464: Robert Aderholt Sponsor. Representative for Alabama’s 4th congressional district. Republican. 6 Cosponsors (5 Republicans, 1 Democrat). Prognosis 18% chance of being enacted.

S. 2858: Tommy Tuberville Sponsor. Senior Senator for Alabama. Republican. 1 Cosponsor (1 Republican) Prognosis 7% chance of being enacted (details).

If you have a senator and/or rep who is not a communist traitor, contact them and let them know you expect their leadership on this.

If you want to go the extra mile and are on Twitter/X, they all have accounts there so you can contact more than just your guys, especially if you have no reps worth approaching.

OK, I lied. This could take 10 minutes.

I, Conspiracist

Most of Codrea’s writing is about gun politics: commenting on the alleged threat posed by particular gun control proposals, arguing that supposedly pro-gun politicians aren’t sufficiently pro-gun, and suggesting that having more Americans regularly carrying firearms will make the country safer from violent crime. Codrea also writes about illegal immigration, frequently promoting a conspiracy theory that political elites are orchestrating the “cultural terraforming” of America. [More]

I talked about this guy and his BS assessment of Oath Keepers in my latest piece.

We can see from his first observation that reality isn’t his strong suit. And there’s a way for him to prove I’m simply spreading a conspiracy theory — all he’s gotta do is what no one else who dismisses it has had the integrity to do and take the challenge.

Friend or Faux

A band of heavily-armed men kick in your door at zero dark thirty. Do you believe anything they say? Anybody can buy tactical garb and even badges and claim to be law enforcement. Criminals have been known to do this. Not believing them might be reasonable. Looks a lot like a home invasion. [More]

Hence my continued urging to be aware of the Fauxnly Ones Files, because the day may come when you’ll need an “I did not believe he was a real cop” defense, and they’ll help establish that this happens all the time.

Disarmed and Unprotected

In summary, the government, assisted by gun prohibitionists—incarnated in authoritarian Democrat legislators, biased public health researchers, and the liberal media—has sought and continues to pursue the objective of disarming law-abiding citizens in piecemeal fashion. [More]

Prolific champion of freedom Miguel A. Faria, MD exposes the lies that make us more vulnerable and less free.

Won’t Come Back from Dead Man’s Curve

Before confronting somebody, Sheriff Salazar said people must consider there could be some serious consequences, especially if that suspect is armed. [More]

Not “legal” advice, but that should be the assumption going in, along with establishing cover and a clear sight picture, including what’s beyond the target, before announcing your presence.

Considering the personal risks, the financial ramifications of shooting someone, and that cars are insured, I’d be inclined to go with setting off the alarm and calling the “Only Ones” from behind locked doors. While a part of me would want to resolve things the old-fashioned way, the legal system is stacked against going outside and using up to lethal force to protect mere property.

We’re the Only Ones Drying Out Enough

They say 25-year-old Alexander Roy was trying a “dry fire” of the gun, thinking that it was unloaded, when he aimed at Hernandez and shot him. Police say alcohol was a factor in the shooting. [More]

Oh, but something like this has to be a one-time thing, right?

Right…?

Democrat Discourse

Richard J. Steinle was accused of mailing dozens of letters containing suspected feces over the course of nearly a year in 2021 and 2022 to legislators in Ohio, Kentucky and Washington, D.C., including Ohio’s 4th District U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Urbana, and all of Ohio’s Republican state senators. [More]

There’s plenty more on this piece of what he mailed… a lawyer, a mediator, an officer of the court, and, of course, a Democrat…

I still haven’t read how he was dumb enough to get caught…

You Know That ‘Great Reset’ All the Cultural Marxists Say is a White Supremacist Conspiracy Theory…?

I am not an American, have never belonged to any far-right organisation, my views are not conservative with either a big or a little ‘c’, and I have published a number of articles arguing against the conspiracy theory of history; but I have also argued that a virus with the infection fatality rate of seasonal influenza never constituted anything approaching a ‘pandemic’; that lockdown restrictions were imposed not to induce the ‘meltdown’ of the economy but, to the contrary, to insulate the real economy from the $12 trillion of quantitative easing created to bail out the collapsing financial sector between September 2019 and April 2022; and that, far from attempting to ‘abolish’ private property, the stakeholder model of capitalism promoted by the World Economic Forum and implemented by its corporate partners under the umbrella of ‘sustainable development goals’ is designed to privatise national assets, natural resources and, ultimately — as Klaus Schwab openly advocates — the existing system of governance in the West. [More]

And to do that, you need Democrat useful idiots who believe you’re doing them a favor by disarming them.

So they call themselves Moms for Liberty, and HuffPo, SPLC, and some leftist trough-feeding Facebook cat lady who requires they approve you before she’ll let you see and comment on her posts say they’re “trying to discriminate against the LGBTQ community and whitewashing history [and] want to destroy everything good about schools,” but won’t tell us what they’ve done…

They sound like my kind of people.
