Not Going Gentle into that Good Night

“Murkowski’s been helping our Democrat campaign, to help Nancy Pelosi.” The Murkowski team “filed a bunch of lawsuits” to make sure the Alaska House of Representatives seat “stayed Democrat,” Tshibaka said. “So we’re anticipating a whole bunch of shenanigans in these next couple months between now and January, to try and hold on to the Murkowski monarchy. Our race is not over.” [More]

GOA did its part.

Here’s how NRA’s main man decided to help out.

Just Do What Hunter Did: Lie

A Judge Accepts the Biden Administration’s Dubious Argument for Banning Gun Possession by Marijuana Users: Even People Who Use Cannabis for Medical Purposes Risk Severe Penalties for Daring to Exercise Their Second Amendment Rights [More]

But if you’re the president’s son and smoke crack with hookers…

It’s a big club and you ain’t in it.

Too Little Too Late?

The new amendment reads, “The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The sovereign state of Iowa affirms and recognizes this right to be a fundamental individual right. Any and all restrictions of this right shall be subject to strict scrutiny.” [More]

I thought the Bruen standard did away with means-end scrutiny and deferred to a “historical understanding”…?

We’re the Only Ones Electrifying Enough

Idaho Springs police have agreed to a multi-million dollar settlement with a 75-year-old man who was wrongfully tasered by police in May of 2021… Clark was unexpectedly and wrongfully shot with a taser on May 30, 2021, by Idaho Springs Police Officer Nicholas Hanning. The taser deployment caused a chain reaction of medical issues with Clark including a heart attack, stroke and several seizures. [More]

So the already overburdened taxpayers will end up footing the bill for “former officer” Nicholas Hanning’s cowardly brutality. And who’s the lying **** neighbor?

Stranger in a Strange Land

I used to call it “home,” but “thanks” to “redistricting,” that home is now in the solidly Democrat 13th Congressional District instead of the solidly Republican 14th, as the demographics in each show.

I used to complain about Dave Joyce being a GOP lump. At least he’s not a “rising star” like Emilia Sykes, whose Congressional Black Caucus-sponsored ads relied heavily on accusations of Republicans being “white supremacists trying to steal our votes.”

“Taxation without representation” used to be a call for resistance. I’m taxed up the wazoo and it’s certainly not me she’s representing.

Democrat Supports Heartbeat Bill

Professor: Asking questions about candidate’s stroke is ‘eugenics’ and ‘ableism’ [More]

Yeah, since when do “progressive” politicians have to be capable, competent, or even conscious?

The only time a heartbeat shouldn’t qualify is if it’s coming from a fetus, right, “Professor”?

At Odds with the World

An annual transfer of funds from rich to poor countries, starting at around $2 trillion by 2030 and rising thereafter, is needed for climate “justice” according to a U.N.-backed report released Tuesday. China has been specifically excluded from the demand for reparations, which includes taxes for fossil fuel companies on their global “carbon profits,” even as the Communist state’s greenhouse gas emissions now exceed the entire rest of the developed world combined. [More]

And no one in a position of authority here has told them to go f*** themselves?

Disorder in the Court?

A divided U.S. appeals court on Monday upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit against Remington Arms over a trigger defect in one of its rifles that allegedly led to the accidental shooting death in 2011 of an 11-year-old boy by his 15-year-old brother in Mississippi. [More]

Yeah, I know, all guns are always loaded, and never point one at anything you’re not willing to destroy, but if the trigger really was defective and the gun really was prone to firing spontaneously, this sounds like they won one they should have lost and surrendered one they should have won.

I don’t know how you can have a ‘three-year clock” involving a homicide
