I want to see what still triggers revocations — and consistency of decisons– before I get too excited, which I won’t do anyway because there will still be an ATF with the power to destroy Americans’ lives over exercising their right in a way the government, with no legitimate delegated authority, doesn’t want to allow.
That’s right. In one vote, this bill went from targeting .50 caliber rifles to banning all semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines, adding new definitions like “assault shotgun” and “fixed magazine,” restricting magazine capacity, and even creating new criminal penalties. [More]
And this crap will continue to happen because SCOTUS allows it and keeps sending mixed signals.
The US Supreme Court refused to question New York’s 2022 gun restrictions, including the state’s limits on concealed-carry licenses and its ban on weapons in buses, parks and crowded venues. As noted many times before over the years, all the Supreme Court has to do to allow blatant infringements of our fundamental rights to prevail is… nothing.

I’m reminded of a recurring line from Walter Brennan’s character in The Guns of Will Sonnet.

So he says. But cops are allowed to lie. But say the lead investigator was a “good” one- you have no way of knowing that or if he’s a typical “Only One” trying to find something to hang you with. A couple days in jail is nothing compared to what you could get railroaded into. And don’t even try and pull “a few bad apples” around here.
The best advice is still “Don’t talk to the police.” But do tell your attorney EVERYTHING.
Sounds like this kid had a crappy one, because if the DGU really was that cut and dried, a competent lawyer would have gotten his client absolved without gambling with risks…

As someone who has been hopeful for your political career from early on, I urge you to be careful who you ally yourself with, Sen. Paul. Some of us get and share your concerns about doing an end run around Congress. Now, by vocally opposing it and forming an alliance with the Marxists, it’s on you to explain how all the things enacted by ther Uniparty that Trump is undoing were within their legitimate Constitutionally-delegated powers to impose in the first place, and whether or not your libertarian-minded principles are leading you –and all of us –down a chute where a horrible ending is planned.
All one needs do is look at this MSN article to realize the Democrats are using you.
If you really want to see things go “extra-Constitutional,” keep siding with those backing normal Americans into a corner. We’re at the “VLLA SELLA” stage, and you ought to know that. Its time to choose a chair.
