Slow Going Ahead

Leaving for a doctor’s follow-up in a few minutes and have plenty to do when I get back, including drafting a new article, promoting one that will post this afternoon, and more. I’m still working on tips from Saturday morning, with dozens of emails I haven’t even opened yet.

Mercy!

Please hold off on tips for the rest of the day– or else understand if I just can’t get to them.

Flaunting Her Serial Betrayals

Getting a gun in New York City is easier with a router than through Ruger, so Sen. Kristen Gillibrand, D-N.Y., hopes the 3D Printed Gun Safety Act of 2023, which bans internet distribution of blueprints for 3D-printed firearms, will suppress the burgeoning illegal pipeline of homemade, untraceable “ghost guns,” both locally and nationwide. [More]

Aside from misspelling her name, great job with this press release masked as news for the biggest political whore on the hill, “real reporter” Tandy Lau!

I don’t suppose his understanding of the First Amendment is any better than his grasp of the Second…

It’s a DSM/Gillibrand thing

Getting Away with That in a Small Town

Lowe’s Fires Employee, 68, Who was Assaulted as She Tried to Stop Shoplifters – Lowe’s said grabbing the cart violated the company’s policy. That’s why the store fired her. [More]

So no “feminist” groups have anything to say to brave and entitled Takyah, Joseph, and Jarmar…? Could it be they have an unstated higher-priority agenda?

And Lowes corporate risk weasels would rather these mutts be free to endanger and raise prices for paying customers?

Her being 68 says she was raised in a time that didn’t tolerate that sh!+. I guess these days, you can try that in a small town.

Physician Heal Thyself

Medical mistakes kill, permanently disable 795,000 Americans a year, study finds [More]

So with 1,077,115 total active physicians in the U.S., how does that compare with numbers attributed to the estimated 45% of U.S. households possessing guns?

I say “attributed” because we know all households don’t bear equal culpability.

And the gunquacks are all in a dither about us…?

Why do motes and beams come to mind?

Return With Us Once More to Those Thrilling Days of Yesteryear

In Friday’s post about The Lone Ranger, I neglected to mention something that further illustrates what an inconsistent dolt Joe Biden is.

From my earlier AmmoLand article on “shoot to wound,” quoting Force Science Institute:

“When Michael Paladino, president of New York’s Detectives Endowment Association, showed [Biden] the bill he reportedly scoffed and suggested that it be called the ‘John Wayne Bill’ because of the unrealistic, movie-like sharpshooting skills it demands of officers.”

So when did he decide the new police standard should be leg shots?

Toothless Deterrence Redux

That’s because administration apparatchiks know from experience that they can retaliate against whistleblowers and House Oversight Republicans will make self-serving noises but no one responsible will actually end up accountable and punished.

The Big Chill

Bass Pro Shop’s Background Check Policy Raises Questions [More]

After seeing how Morehouse was retaliated against with a bend-and-spread-’em audit that had the goal of finding something, anything, to revoke its FFL, and noting the anal levels ATF stoops to over “Don’t Lie for the Other Guy” (enthusiastically partnered with by NSSF), over-cautiousness is inevitable, especially where corporate timidity over anything controversial is the rule.

Let’s All Go to the Lobby

Shocking moment 63-year-old man is brutally attacked inside Florida movie theater after asking couple to move out of his pre-booked VIP seat [More]

What does it say about the state of things when all you have to do is read the headline to know that structural sophism and the resultant ubiquitous sociopathic sense of entitlement were involved?

FAFO

Police said over ten days, they received similar reports of robberies in the Fan, Byrd Park, and Carytown areas with what appeared to be the same suspects. [More]

You know what would stop that real quick?

Let “progressives” break things down badly enough and look for some to get fed up. It’s either that or this, which I’d argue is more effective and humane.

By the way, I was at Bannack last week– it’s a ghost town/state park now, but the gallows are still there. I took this from near the cemetery at the top of a large hill overlooking the site:

Return With Us Now to Those Thrilling Days of Yesteryear

The Lone Ranger Had Good Life Lessons But Bad Gun Advice [More]

You don’t say.

I met him when I was a boy. My Dad was plant manager for BF Goodrich in Tehran, Iran for five years and we were on home leave circa 1962, staying in a motel near Akron, Ohio. Moore was doing an appearance at a local amusement park. He occupied the room next to ours for 2-3 days as I recall, and was very conscientious about presenting himself to us children as kind and every bit what we expected.

But yeah, “Shoot to wound” had to be called out.
