Tell Me Again How Ohio Has ‘Constitutional Carry’

Garrett’s attorney, state Rep. Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Twp.), says prosecutors are leaning on an Ohio law that bans drivers and passengers from having loaded firearms within reach inside a vehicle. But he argues another section of the law creates an exemption for concealed carry license holders. Garrett holds a lifetime license in Indiana. [More]

And duty to inform IF ASKED seems ripe for a Fifth Amendment challenge.

Yet the Republicans who allow this and aren’t pushing for change will be quick to brag about how they’re “staunch defenders of the Second Amendment” come election time.

The Shape of Things to Come

Democrats break GOP’s supermajority in Iowa after flipping state Senate seat [More]

Democrat Catelin Drey got 55% of the vote. She’s the founder of Moms for Iowa, which proclaims on its website:

We are passionate about curbing gun violence…

So Iowa gun owners should have known she’s a danger.

Republican opponent Christopher Prosch was described by Iowa Firearms Coalition as a “pro-Second Amendment candidate.” Their interview video has generated a whopping 81 views at this writing with no apparent shares. Its posting on X.com garnered one repost.

If gun owners don’t get involved — meaningfully — we can kiss the midterms goodbye. Don’t believe “the”gunfluencer” hype about Democrats being out of money, because the special interests it represents aren’t, or the party being too far left, because the dumbed-down, outraged, resentful and self-entitled constituents aren’t.

Apathy has always been a greater enemy than the antis, and if it continues, count on those who never lifted a finger to bitch and moan the loudest.

“We” sure do put a lot of deserved blame on Republicans. When a good one comes along, who helps ensure self government through representation?

Florida’s GOP State Attorney Bakkedahl Cites Anti-2A Everytown to Defend Infringements

These offensive “justifications” being argued by Florida Republicans sound like the kind of polemics to be expected from rabid Moms Demand Action zealots and ranting Democrat demagogues. That they would be made in an administration where Gov. Ron DeSantis is widely touted as being “pro-gun” and where Florida State Attorney General James Uthmeier recently refused to defend the under-21 long gun ban enacted after the Parkland shootings, goes beyond cognitive dissonance. With Republicans like these, who needs Democrats?

Nation’s largest teachers union votes to sever ties with Anti-Defamation League over Israel support [More]

Then we have David Hogg splitting the Democrat Party

So, naturally, the Republicans, not wanting to feel left out, screwed us on suppressors and short barrels, and upped the disgruntlement by playing Emily Litella with the Epstein files…

Fool Me Once…

Republicans, take heed. Not every gun owner voice out there is a “Next Best Win” apologist, and you need all of us if you’re not going to blow the midterms, which may be a done deal after this.

But won’t that mean the Democrats will gain the power to take our guns?

Does it?

Flesh out what that would look like and we can start looking at likely responses, flash points, and potentialities.

The Not Ready for Prime Time Player

Law-abiding citizens should have the right to responsibly own firearms without excessive government interference. [More]

That sounds like some shallow appeal-to-those-who -don’t-think-it-through weasel wording right there.

What about when being “law-abiding” means surrendering that “fundamental aspect of our freedom and security”? And how is any government interference with that which shall not be infringed not excessive?

And yeah– so much for “America First.”

Here’s how she fights:

Thomas Massie has failed us. He voted against cutting taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security. He even voted NO on protecting children from AI-generated child exploitation.

This is a crafted misrepresentation. That first part is in the debt increase package. In the second, he saw unintended consequences in unelected Melania’s pet legislative process and Speaker Johnson would not allow amendments.

It’s all part of the all too familiar politics of personal destruction, where, “yuge” ego seeks revenge on any who oppose, support is bestowed on supplicants who fawn, and attacks are ad hominem logical fallacies.

This is what Trump wants to replace Massie with, and cultists in the 4th District are falling for it? I’m not trusting that poll, because right now she only has 53 Truth followers and 176 on Facebook. One suggested she’d get more exposure on X, but I think her campaign is afraid of the rationing she’d get from Constitutionalists sick of all the BS.

I’m with Elon on this.

A Half-A$$ed Attempt

Top Biden aide admits to Congress she directed autopen signatures without knowing who gave final approval [More]

Enough. She didn’t just operate it on her own. Who told her to run a document through? Put them on the hot seat.

Who “authorized” her? Who are the “members of the inner circle”? Why hasn’t she been threatened with contempt unless she gets specific with “So-and-so directed me to have this signed?”

This could undo every law, every appointment, every EO going back to who knows when? Are Republicans ever going to strap ’em on and act like this is the existential spiritual and physical war that it is?

Oversight never played real hardball with Fast and Furious, either.

Let’s Not Go Celebrating a Red Wave Just Yet

Gingrich warns ‘very profound cultural civil war’ underway, says Democrats doubling down on ‘weird values’ – Former speaker says Americans increasingly siding with Trump on cultural issues [More]

One can only hope he’s got reliable data to back that up and that this isn’t just Stupid Party happy talk. Because my experience with Democrats tells me Edwin Edwards gave his constituents way too much credit, and today he could get away with strangling the girl and boy on live TV and not lose a vote if his opponent were Trump.

The Dems Declare War on the Obama Boys [More]

Add in Hogg’s Children’s Crusade and it’s like Party Elders are getting the Biden treatment.

As fun as it is to watch them apparently implode, never underestimate the focused stupidity of Democrat voters and the Republican preponderance for blowing all advantages. Act like we’re going to lose the midterms, because we may.

We’re the Only Ones Unobstructed Enough

New York’s Nassau County seeks to ban standing within 15 feet of cops under bill panned as unconstitutional… “It is important that first responders are not obstructed during emergency situations and that our frontline heroes are allowed to engage in the lifesaving actions they are trained to perform without distractions,” legislator John Ferretti, a Republican, told the New York Post. Don’t Count on Dems to Blow It

Remember the “Red Wave” that never happened?

What if it’s intentional?

Never forget Bill Clinton mentor Carroll Quigley:

“The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can ‘throw the rascals out’ at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy” (Georgetown University Professor Carroll Quigley, Tragedy and Hope, 1966.)

The Swamp won’t drain easily.
