The report comes as the nation grapples with a rise in violent crime, particularly from
gunsDemocrat jurisdictions. [More]
Attributing increases to the recent rise in gun sales is a repackaging of the trick they tried to do to blame things on the pandemic. As I noted a few months back:
In order for pandemic-related sales to significantly move statistics, the transference from the “legal” to the “illegal” market would need to be almost instantaneous, when in fact, ATF time-to-crime (“the amount of time between the retail sale of a firearm by a federal firearms licensee (FFL) and its recovery by law enforcement”) statistics show a national average period for 2021 of 6.21 years.
Not that we should expect either the Bureau or the Associated Press to factor that into their public consumption “conclusions.”

The Second Amendment Allows States To Implement Varied Firearm Regulations To Address Their Local Needs [More]
I kept reading through this trying in vain to find something, anything reflecting Founding intent to substantiate that claim.
Then again, I’ve been waiting for over 20 years for one of the lying grabbers to be able to do that.
In a strongly worded letter to ATF Director Steven Dettelbach, obtained and reviewed by DrydenWire.com, Sheriff Waak states that he will not take any enforcement action on this rule change “or allow any federal agent to take action against his citizens.”
“I stand ready to defend the rights of honest, law-abiding residents here in Polk County,” Waak states. [More]

There’s an interview I didn’t have 42 minutes to watch here. I can’t promise you he’ll answer that question.

Over the last 12 to 18 months, Lowe’s Innovation Labs has been testing out the system which utilizes RFID [Radio Frequency Identity] chips, scanners and blockchain. If implemented, it would render a stolen tool inoperable which would discourage bad actors and in turn, keep employees safe… [More]

A federal judge on Monday extended an order preventing New Jersey officials from enforcing the state’s sweeping new concealed carry restrictions, dealing another blow to a law championed by gun control advocates, Gov. Phil Murphy and his allies in the Legislature. [More]
And he’d have gotten away with it, too, if it hadn’t been for you darned activists!

To be imposed on you under the force of law at the insistence of the newcomers!
Good thing this has nothing to do with that “single issue”. And I have that on good authority.

“Most counties experience no murders, a smaller set where there are a few murders, and then a tiny set of counties where murders are very common.” [More]

My head hurts.

The Oregon Legislative session is rolling on. We are now monitoring about 25 bills that would affect gun owners. As always, the Democrats are hard at work attempting to enable violent criminals and endanger law abiding Oregonians. As an added bonus they are working to pass legislation to allow criminals to vote FROM JAIL. [More]

Gee, no interjecting editorial sentiment there. It makes me appreciate even more the link at the bottom of the piece about “Our Standards: The Thomson Reuters Trust Principles.”
I’ve been a long-time fan of those!

“Obviously, no one wants to see these tragedies occur — this loss of life — but how the problem is viewed, and therefore what the response is to that problem, is night and day difference,” said Daniel Webster, an American health professor affiliated with the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions. I disagree. The violence monopolists, the rice bowl blood dancers, like Webster, and their useful idiot fanatics all count on more.

Rivera, a gun owner, was illustrating that the Second Amendment didn’t cover modern firearms capable of mass killings when the amendment was ratified in 1791. And that AR-15-style rifles go far beyond self-defense. [More]
Ah, the long-debunked “The Founders could have never imagined” bullsh!+.
Figures this moron would be spreading it.
I recall writing an Examiner article years back where a guy was prosecuted for having a muzzleloader in New York City. I can’t find it now and don’t recall the details, but it would be funny if Geraldo incriminated himself.
How he got it in the studio is another question.
And figures, HuffPo would think he won the argument.
