The Propagandist’s Lament

There’s too much to read and watch, too many places to read and watch it. It’s enough to distract you from the biggest news in journalism right now: In 2024, it’s harder than ever to get a tough story out in the United States of America… The result is a thousand stories you’ll never read, and a shrinking number of publications with the resources and guts to confront power. You don’t say.

As for reasons why, you missed the barn.

Guilt by Innuendo

For the third year in a row, the gun shop owned by U.S. Sen. Ted Budd was among hundreds across the country flagged by federal authorities in 2023 for selling weapons that were later traced to crimes, according to newly released records. [More]

Funny, somehow the “real reporter” on this story missed the standard ATF disclaimer:

Not all firearms used in crime are traced and not all firearms traced are used in crime.

If ProShots was suspected of deliberately violating the law, this story would be ab0ut an ATF raid, arrests, and indictments.

We’re the Only Ones Prayerful Enough

“I just said a prayer last night that I hope my greatest fears don’t come true, and that’s that South Carolina becomes the Wild, Wild West,” Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott told The Post and Courier. [More]

I wonder why the Democrat feels that way.

They say that like it’s a bad thing…

And like the Founders didn’t consider “every terrible implement of the soldier” to be “the birthright of an American,” and “necessary to the security of a free State.”

See, here’s the thing– I know I can be trusted not to abuse my right to arms, and so can everyone I’m friends with.

So what do we do about those who can’t?

The answer certainly isn’t controlling you and me.

And the genie is out.

Far be it for DSM “real reporter” Peter Gill to act as anything but a cheerleader while he directs attention away from the real story.

Now sell those birthrights for a mess of pottage!

FBI and DSM Pre-ID Fall Guys

“If Trump and Pompeo are not tried in a fair court for the criminal act of assassinating General Soleimani, Muslims will take our martyr’s revenge,” Raisi said, according to Reuters. [More]

What a coincidence, that this was released right after the Supreme Court ruled he would stay on the ballot.

Why were “individuals for various operations in the United States”allowed in? And curious, Tehran has been given built-in plausible deniability, eliminating the need for retaliatory actions that could get people asking questions.

Paranoid to even suggest this? Why?

Donny Deutsch Lays Out Biden’s Path To Victory: ‘Scare The Sh*t Out Of People’ [More]

What does he think their whole “gun control” strategy has been, and here we are, still armed.

Trotting out a gaggle of oath-breaking Benedict Arnolds is nothing we haven’t seen before either.

I think Donny’s a blustering pu$$y and he’s the one who’s afraid.
