State Semiauto Bans Try to Accomplish What Feds Cannot (Yet)

Blue states are attempting to circumvent the U.S. Constitution and federal law to go after “assault weapons.” [More]

My latest piece…

But don’t worry. No one is trying to take your guns.

Anti-Gunners Should be Careful What They Wish For

Ah! The understanding at the time was that parents would have a say in what their dependent children could or could not do! So, according to this, there were no Founding-era laws saying a boy or girl couldn’t have a gun if the adults raising them wanted them to. [More]

Remove predators from society and leave our guns and our children alone? The parasites, control freaks, and groomers aren’t gonna like that one bit…

A Blank VCheck

Virginia’s approach to firearms records checks does not infringe on an individual’s ability to purchase or possess a firearm… [More]

Yeah, well I just got a tip that Virginia’s VCheck system is down, and had that confirmed by calling an FFL– and he didn’t know why and hadn’t received information.

Nothing on VCDL Alerts yet…

So I tried calling both Virginia State Police Firearms Transaction Center Help Desk numbers [(804) 674-2292 or (804) 674-2788] and both aren’t working.

My guess is this is the culprit:

I tweeted a question to them and will update this if I hear back.

UPDATE:

The VSP Information Technology Division’s application and engineering teams worked through the night and are now focused on reinstating VCIN-affiliated systems, to include the Computerized Criminal History (CCH) and the Virginia Firearms Transaction V-Check system. [More]

UPDATE:

UPDATE

All Virginia FFLs were notified yesterday by the Virginia Firearms Transaction Center. [More]

All I can tell you is the original tip received by CA over at Western Rifle Shooters Association that set me off looking into this said:

And the FFL who spoke to me basically said the same thing.

Just Like the Founders Intended

Attorneys for the Second Amendment Foundation and its allies have filed a brief supporting their earlier motion for summary judgment in a federal challenge of Illinois’ ban on concealed carry by young adults in a case known as Meyer v. Raoul. [More]

Remember all those laws from the Founding era making it a crime for 18-20-year-olds to have a gun?

Me neither.

Standing Room Only

Judge Claims “Lack of Standing” in Second Amendment Public Transportation Case … In effect, Judge Moss is stating a plaintiff will need to be arrested for violating the District of Columbia’s ban on carrying concealed weapons in order to challenge the ban. [More]

In Denial

Reagan was well into Alzheimers when he supposedly made the AK-47 statement. I’ve always had a gut feeling that statement was made under instructions from Nancy after his brain was pretty well fogged.

(Comment under my recent article)

First of all, I addressed his Alzheimer’s in my poll results link. I’ve been hearing that desperate excuse-making for damn near 20 years now.

There’s no “supposedly” about it. Reagan made the statement in Feb. 1989 at the University of Southern California in a 78th-birthday event widely covered by the media (go to 43 minutes in). You tell me if he sounds senile. His official letter announcing he had “recently been told” he was afflicted with Alzheimer’s was written in Nov. 1994.

New York State of Mind

The State of New York is Still Fighting the Bruen Decision [More]

Herschel brings us up to date on Antonyuk v Satan’s Minions, including New York’s insulting brief and Stephen Stamboulieh’s authoritative response.

I have to find out what SCOTUS’s options are for slapping inferiors defying hierarchical precedent down.

LA Times: White supremacy is a rainbow coalition [More]

So they’re to be condemned for their diversity, equity, and inclusion?

Brian Griffin has a question for them.

And remember: If you didn’t vote for Joe Biden, you ain’t black!

I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar

Stony Brook prof Anna Hayward blames stabbed cops for ‘murder’ of their attacker [More]

Scroll down to see that smug grin and take comfort in one thing: She can’t possibly really be a happy person.

They say this contact link is for “media inquiries only.” I always have had a thing about “Authorized Journalists,” and in keeping with “progressive” tenets, I’d say it’s all up to how a person identifies…

Your Feel-Good Story of the Day

A carjacker was killed in the Loop on Thursday evening when the victim fought back, accelerated her car, and slammed into a beam that supports the L tracks, Chicago police said. [More]

I’d say Elijah didn’t tread well at all.

And not to pick on innocents who share that surname, but two of them now have gotten publicity for dying stupidly

An Age-Old Question

Transage Activists Now Claim “Age Is A Social Construct,” Just Like We Predicted Would Happen [More]

Perhaps we can make lemonades out of lemons– I have long advocated for giving young people development-appropriate gun training, as opposed to “age-appropriate.” Maybe this can be exploited against those obnoxious and unconstitutional edicts saying you have to be 21 to buy the firearm of your choice.

Except I bet if you asked transage proponents, they’d tell you no age is appropriate. More likely, they just want to diddle with kids.

Now wait for Phase Two: Age is racist.
