Lies of Omission

Responding to my Bill of Rights Day post, War on Guns Correspondent Antigone sends two links:

  • Holiday Today figured the appropriate image to accompany their article was multicultural fists and didn’t feel the Second Amendment was worth mentioning.
  • It looks like they sourced their piece from the government’s U.S. Courts website. A “Students Sound Off about the Bill of Rights” video posted there does very briefly mention 2A, first with an ignorant young gelding who declares it “is no longer relevant to members of the general public and should only apply to a professional military.” He’s countered by a girl whose only reason for supporting it is “…because I’m a member of the NRA.”

They’ll Know It When They See It?

“We recognize that ‘good moral character’ is a spongy concept susceptible to abuse.” [More]

Like the definition of “pornography“? Or “woman“?

I wonder if a Second Amendment advocate who believes it is a bulwark against domestic tyranny could be disqualified…

And if that would be sufficient to bring a libel suit…

Thank You, Sir, May I Have Another?

…permit to purchase… mandatory … training … government registry… fingerprinting and a waiver of medically protected information… [More]

Just like the Founders used to require.

Or as an old friend of mine once said:

I sometimes wonder whether the socialists will issue an edict requiring all firearms to have a pink ribbon tied to the barrel, just to get a belly laugh as the panicked descendants of once-proud American patriots scurry to comply.

Speaking of a Public Nuisance…

“These may be the first two lawsuits filed by the Statewide Affirmative Firearms Enforcement office, but they will not be the last,” Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin (D) said in a news conference. “We’re putting everyone else in the gun industry on notice.” [More]

So you deserve to get raped because of that short skirt you wore and how dare you direct citizens to where things are legal…?

This Platkin creature is quite the zealous little fascist. It seems personal.

You know how you can tell he’s lying…?

We’re the Only Ones Securing the Blessings of Liberty One Menacing Extortion Demand at a Time Enough

“You’ve been watching too many shows and reading too many books,” the agents respond. “I’m sure we’ll find you again someday.” [More]

What are “the agents” names? That bullying arrogance needs names and faces attached to it.

Why did he talk to them at all? Any denial that can be proven false is a felony and a lifetime gun ban. They’re obviously trying to entrap him and from what I’m hearing, they may have unless he surreptitiously gets rid of it.

And why does the tab in the USA Today article read “Conspiracy theories abound…” ? What “conspiracy theories” does the “real reporter” document? Or is this just more of what we’ve some to expect from Gannett Publications…?

Funny, how the first heinous act of supprerssor abuse they could come up with to show how they’re too dangerous to trust the public with was:

A former Los Angeles Police Department officer armed with a Glock pistol and AR-15, both affixed with silencers, shot and killed four people in February 2013.

And in any case, they did not establish how the suppressor on the gun made it any more deadly or allowed the perps to get away with it, or had any more effect on what happened than the color shirt the killers wore. Hey, when you have a herd to spook, they’re not apt to sense a correlation/causation logical fallacy.

“Run, Hide, Fight,” the armed SECOND responders advise. What if you can’t outrun a bullet, can’t keep the monster from finding you, and can’t get close enough to attack back with a fire extinguisher or chair?

Hunter Biden Second Amendment Defense Could Upend Democrat Agenda on Guns

If Biden’s motion ultimately prevails, other categories of prohibited persons become vulnerable to challenge, as well as records required to be kept by Federal Firearms Licensees, which themselves have no historical counterpart. The possibilities for reclaiming rights seem boundless. [More]

It would be deliciously ironic if, in saving his own skin, this degenerate saved ours…

Just Between Us Girls

The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance will hold a hearing on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. ET. The hearing, “Second Amendment Rights Empower Women’s Rights,” will examine how firearms ownership empowers women across America and assists in self-defense as violent crime continues to plague the nation. [More]

I got this tip last week and scheduled it to post this morning so people wouldn’t forget.

I hope somebody points out that voting for Democrats negates women’s rights.

‘Other Purposes’

To amend chapter 44 of title 18, United States Code, to prohibit the distribution of 3D printer plans for the printing of firearms, and for other purposes. [More]

It’s those “other purposes” I’m interested in.

Boy, that’s a lot of traitors.

Eh… “1% chance of being enacted…”

Besides, the genie’s out of the bottle. And we will not disarm.

Deliberate Indifference

Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals denies motion for en banc hearing of challenge against Illinois’ gun and magazine ban. “No judge in regular active service has requested a vote on the petition for rehearing en banc, and all members of the original panel have voted to deny panel rehearing,” the docket said Monday. “The petition for rehearing and rehearing en banc is therefore DENIED.” [More]

Will this be a catalyst for SCOTUS?

Why, Just Look at All the Non-Causative Correlation!

“Let me just state unequivocally, the public health order has been in effect three months and it’s working,” the governor said at Monday’s press conference. [More]

So how many of those arrests were ordinary concealed carriers caught up in the order, as opposed to known troublemakers? And how many of the arrested will be back on the street for Christmas?

Conduct Unbecoming

US District Court of Southern District of California finds that gun purchase restrictions on 18-20 year olds in California is constitutional under the 2nd Amendment. [More]

What kind of evil, lying traitor would you have to be to rule that way? So much for judicial conduct.

His treason will, of course, eventually be overturned, provided the Republicans don’t blow ’24…

Blast from the Past

I will believe any of our celebrity politicians when they say they sympathize and truly regret and resent this monstrous atrocity when they move to restore the observance and practice of the second amendment everywhere. Then and only then will we know they truly disapprove of Americans being murdered en masse. [More]

I was doing some research over the weekend, came across this comment on the old blog, and thought it merited renewed attention.
