“If a judge releases someone who goes on to commit a violent crime, the public deserves to know. Not to assign blame — but to be informed.” [More]

I dunno… there’s something to be said for assigning blame.

Anyway, this is a website that may be useful to you to bookmark. I’m not aware of who is behind it and if they have an agenda. If I find time to look, I will.

Ask What Your Country Can Do for Them

More Than 16,000 Immigrants in Illinois May Lose Food Assistance in the Coming Months [More]

How many generations are we gonna have to feed until they come around?

And how will they, if this is the culture they’re immersed in?

Hey, maybe they’ll riot. While waving foreign flags.

Not Just Anyone

They Finally Said It Out Loud… And It’s Worse Than Anyone Thought [Watch]

Not me. I’ve been beating the “they want to disarm us” drum for years– and documenting every claim I make with the words of the infringers.

As for ultimately wanting to disarm cops, I wrote this back in 2000:

“I want an absolute ban on the manufacture, sale possession and use of handguns and automatic weapons in this country, with long prison sentences for violations,” Sallie commands. “The police need guns – at least until we get rid of the hundreds of millions of guns floating around,” Sallie lets slip.

Of course, then they wouldn’t be the “Only Ones,” would they?

A ‘Progressive’ Dilemma

Katy Perry fights back against Ruby Rose’s ‘categorically false’ sexual assault allegations [More]

So, how does #BelieveWomen work here, exactly? And what’s a woman?

And how do we choose between a “progressive” celebrity head case and a “progressive” celebrity gun-grabber?

Fortunately, the smartest woman in the world says the first one to scream “Witch!” wins the toss.

Bridging the Divide on Guns a Bridge to Nowhere

Their “Diverse Coalition of Gun Rights and Gun Violence Prevention Advocates” includes rabid prohibitionist zealots who have made careers out of trying to eviscerate the Second Amendment through lawfare and gun bans, with not one recognized “no compromise” member. [More]

Oh, look, another covertly-funded AstroTurf group comprised of useful idiots and rabid prohibitionists trying to lure in low information gun owners who haven’t seen this game before. By “compromise,” they mean you do it.

An Unexplored Opportunity

Education is another area where the perceived “need” for high tech work visas actually reflects the underlying failure of Democrat-dominated teachers’ unions and school administrations.

Take a look at per capita spending in public school systems, then compare it to how much is comparably spent in, say, India, and it makes fair the question of how and why so many can outperform U.S. students, many of whom graduate unable to read at the fourth-grade level, and are effectively unemployable. Ditto for those who aren’t qualified to use DEI degrees in anything the market is willing to pay for.

Why aren’t establishment education policies and curricula geared toward producing what the domestic market demands, to where the need to hire a foreign national over a qualified citizen candidate is one of special circumstances involving individual exceptionalism? Is flooding states with H-1Bs to enrich tech billionaires really the best way for the interests of We the People to be advanced?

Look at the Democrat-dominated teachers’ unions and tell me there’s not a political opportunity to capitalize with voters justifiably objecting to economic displacement by pointing out academia establishment failures due to willful educational malpractice.

And it’s no surprise these Marxist sell-outs want a “pathway to citizenship” for illegals, too.

Lies of Commission and Omission

A recent news headline declared, “11,500 shootings occurred within 500 yards of US schools last year.” The obvious implication is that American school children are under daily fire on school campuses nationwide. But, as with most gun control narratives in national media written by reporters who mostly don’t understand the basics of firearms or criminal gun use, that narrative collapses under the slightest scrutiny. The first glaring red flag in this story is that Hearst Television Data Visualization Journalist Susie Webb and the WCVB Get the Facts Data Team built their agenda-driven narrative by relying on gun control advocacy site The Trace’s “School-Adjacent Shootings” dataset, which tracks Gun Violence Archive (GVA) incidents that fell within 500 yards of a K-12 school. Even that dataset warns that each row is a shooting-to-school match and must be deduplicated before anyone totals up the incidents, deaths or injuries. However, that was not done before Webb and WVTM’s story went live on several news outlets, on social media, on Hearst Television’s YouTube channel and was even—unsurprisingly—picked up by MSN. The Militia Difference

The American Founders, having studied Rome’s failure in detail, deliberately designed a better system. They created three formal branches with stricter separation of powers — but they did not stop there. They explicitly empowered a Fourth Branch: the sovereign, educated, and armed citizenry itself. [More]

Some might even call it a core purpose.

FYI, I’m almost done with Miguel Faria’s latest that includes extensive analysis of Rome during this period and will be posting a “thumbs up” review when I am. I feel bad because I’ve had it for months but it’s long and very detailed, and circumstances have forced me to just read a little at a time.

When Seconds Count

Texas Democrat James Talarico Said Having Police in Schools Fuels ‘Culture of Violence’ in Newly Resurfaced Audio [More]

Why is it every time I see this lunatic I picture Elliot Page?

If it ends up being between him and Cornyn, well, this is how the system keeps gunvoters in line.

And look what else Texans can elect. Good grief.

We’re the Only Ones Pyrotechnic Enough

Sheriff’s lieutenant with million-pound fireworks stash led to deadly blast, prosecutors say [More]

This one particularly grinds my gears because I used to work in the fireworks industry in California, initially brought in to help fight multiple municipal ballot measures to ban them. The “rationale” was to blame tepid “safe and sane” fountains for the illegal stuff brought in from Pahrump and beyond.

When I think of what we had to go through to operate in compliance, the worthy nonprofit efforts that were denied a great fundraising tool, the sanctimonioius blue noses who demanded their prejudice ruin things for everybody, and the Democrats who led the efforts to ban them, let’s just say I would not be a very fair juror.
